we first met while working at The Glimmerglass Festival, a summer festival for opera and musical theater in Cooperstown, New York.

after months of long-distance messages and phone calls while located on opposite sides of the country, we realized our connection was something special and made the decision to move in together. Ross proposed in June 2024 on a beautiful grassy hill overlooking the lake, as well as the theater where we met.

we live in Richfield Springs with our sweet babygirl dog, a lab/boxer mix named Stevie The Dragonslayer. <3

Lisa: Originally from San Juan Capistrano in Orange County, California, Lisa Lawrence went to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles for Theater and Costume Design. She now works in social media and marketing at Glimmerglass. She's a lifelong vegetarian, an avid reader, and you'll likely find her on a hiking trail or rock climbing.

Ross: Originally from Salina, Kansas, Ross Rundell went to Emporia State University in Kansas and received his Masters Degree at Yale for Technical Design and Production in theater. He has worked at Glimmerglass as the Technical Director since 2013. Ross is a carpenter, a Harry Potter fan, an excellent tennis player, and a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan.
