Spencer and Lisa met through the popular dating app, Hinge. Were you expecting something more interesting? Sorry, not in this day and age. Lisa's Hinge profile featured a photo of herself rocking both San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's gear claiming both sides at a Battle of the Bay baseball rivalry, and concluded the prompt "Never have I ever..." with her answer "...seen Top Gun," which is Spencer's favorite movie. Spencer, the die hard Giants fan and movie buff's immediate thoughts were, "I can fix her".

Spencer, 6 months into his new job, blew Lisa off on their first date because he had some work obligations, but Lisa let him reschedule for a Monday night and they met at a tequila bar. Lisa knew the moment she met Spencer that he was something special, even though he still had to twist her arm for a last name, and phone number.

Just a couple days later, Lisa and Spencer escaped work to meet at a sandwich shop for their second date. Spencer told Lisa about this amazing trip his family goes on once every 5 years and told her that his niece and nephews would help choose the location for the next trip. Lisa knew at that moment, she would be going on this trip.

Less than two months after they met, Lisa went on a girls trip to Kauai for a week. Spencer and Lisa stayed in touch everyday of her vacation, and when she returned, Spencer took Lisa to a Jason Aldean concert and made things official, on September 24, 2021.

Lisa and Spencer's relationship continued to blossom as the two learned more about each other and strive to make the other happy. One of their favorite memories together was a long weekend trip to Boston. Lisa, who loves to travel to new places, had always wanted to explore Boston. Spencer, has always wanted to go to a game at Fenway, amongst many other old baseball parks. Lisa's response to Spencer's dream was simple, "let's go!". So the two booked a trip to Boston where they explored the town, enjoyed amazing food and had a blast at a Red Sox / Yankees game and stood up to sing "Sweet Caroline" with the crowd all decked out in their Red Sox gear! The only disappointing thing about the trip was the Yankees taking the win, booooo!

Fast forward to March 27, 2022, when the 2nd Top Gun is finally released. Little did Lisa know, Spencer has been waiting for this day to come for over two years and he wanted her to see the movie with him. Of course, Spencer would never let Lisa see the sequel without seeing the original Top Gun. The night before the premiere, Spencer put on the original Top Gun, sealing their fate, as Lisa said, "well what would I write in my dating profile if we don't work out? You're stuck with me now!"

Bring on the bouquets! Lisa caught not one, not two, but three bouquets at three different weddings, just further sealing the deal. First, Lisa caught the bouquet at her bother, Nate and sister-in-law, Megan's wedding. Spencer was all smiles that night. Second, Lisa caught the bouquet at her friends, David & Cassie's wedding, to which Spencer's response was, "of course she did." Then, just out for a casual lunch and beer at the Tap House in Murphy's, California, a bride suddenly enters the picnic table area shouting "All the single ladies! Bouquet toss! Let's go, girls!" Spencer looks at Lisa with an eye roll, like "oh, come on." Lisa returns with a bouquet in hand just moments after.

Finally, the once every 5 years family trip to Spain. Lisa has known she would go on this trip with Spencer since their second date. Spencer proposed to Lisa at Port Vell in Barcelona on the first day. They were able to celebrate and enjoy their engagement for the remaining 2 weeks of the trip together through Mallorca and London, England.

And after all that, their story is just beginning...
