Our story began at Disney’s Private Island of Castaway Cay in Great Abaco Island, Bahamas in 2012. Jason was working as a lifeguard at the time. Liz just started her first Disney Cruise contract. They met while both working a similar shift called Pull Beach, where we would reset the island for the next set of cruise passengers. Jason could tell that Liz, it was her first time working on Disney’s private island, could use some support. He taught her the various shifts on the island. Throughout the rest of her cruise contract, they became good friends. They developed a strong friendship and were friends for 5 years before they decided to date.

Later, as Jason received a job promotion on board the Disney Magic, they both learned that they would be working on the same cruise ship together. After having dinner together every day that cruise contract, they both knew it was only a matter of time. Liz and Jason have traveled all over the world together (over 30 countries in counting). Jason states he loved the lifestyle of the cruise ship and Liz loved the opportunity to travel to so many countries. Together, they have known each other for more than a decade and now they are looking forward to this next adventure together!

After 6 years of dating, Jason proposed to Liz on top of an Airbnb Castle in Mena, Arkansas. This was a very special moment for Liz because her dad would tell her bedtime stories of her as Princess Elizabeth living in a castle when she was a little girl. Liz said yes, of course! As they say, it all started with a mouse.
