Andrew is very fond of telling people that he and Liz met while volunteering at a retirement community, where all the residents said that they would make an adorable couple. That story is both cute and untrue. In reality, they met at an Irish pub called the Fainting Goat a few days after Liz's 29th birthday, with classy tunes like Baby Got Back playing in the background. Andrew asked Liz for a ride home and, while she was all set to fend off his attempts to invite her to come inside, it proved unnecessary (he liked to play hard to get).

Andrew and Liz had plenty of interests in common from the start, such as climbing and telling dark jokes. As their relationship has developed, they've found even more things to bond over-- important things like The Book of Mormon musical and Taylor Swift. Liz has also done a lot of bonding with Andrew's greyhound Dany, mainly over their shared love of running, sunbathing and naps.

Liz and Andrew are extremely excited about the life they're building together. They currently live in an apartment in Englewood, CO but plan to buy a house together near Denver after the wedding, likely in fall 2024.
