We wouldn't be here if it weren't for nosy friends who work at the Y. Both Liz and Justin were volunteering at the YMCA Winter Soiree in the spring of 2022. They briefly introduced themselves to each other at dinner and then parted ways to their respective duties.

A few weeks after the Soirre, Liz's friend Danielle Schnake texted her, saying Justin wanted her number and wanted to make sure it was okay to share. Meanwhile, Justin's friend Jared sent him a photo of a note from Barbara Gross and Danielle saying Liz would like to go on a date and tasking Jared to set it up.

A couple of weeks passed before Justin texted Liz. After a few days of texting back and forth, they arranged to meet for a date on May 6, 2022. The date went well enough that they continued to see each other over the summer of 2022.

A few months into dating, Liz asked Justin what made him ask for her number. To which Justin replied, "I didn't. What made you ask for mine?" It was only then that they realized the extent their friends had gone to set them up.

We are so happy our friends didn't mind their own business. We've spent the last two years getting to know each other, traveling, and falling in love.
