We’re Doing Something Different!

We’re excited about spending the rest of our lives together and only wish that we had more time! Along that same vein, timing is everything and, in our case, truly of the essence. We have decided to do things a little differently and want to include you on the journey as we prepare to merge our lives. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope that you can still join us!

Our Wedding

Lonnie and Janeine went to Shroder Middle and Hughes High schools together and not once imagined that life would connect them beyond that. Janeine moved away to Atlanta and stayed there for eleven years before returning; and Lonnie was one of the first people she ran into during both of their sons’ basketball games at Woodward High School. Still, with no clue as to what’s to come, they continued on with no contact or thoughts of one another… Until Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022. They ran into each other at Macy’s in Kenwood Mall while picking up gifts, and to say there was an instant connection puts it lightly. As Janeine walked towards him, they both appeared to be in a trance, so much so that Joel muttered “old people are weird”. Haha! On June 17th, 2022, while on a double date with Mike and Tamika Jones at a Juneteenth event in Downtown, Cincinnati; they decided to make things official and committed to the growth of their relationship. Many dinners, events, and trips later, Lonnie proposed on March 13, 2023. Here’s to the memories of our first year and forever more!!🥂 We hope that you enjoy our favorite pictures during that time.
