Our Wedding

Most people don't find their soulmate while bonding over liver transplants... fortunately for us it was kidneys and livers, the Auburn Tigers, Sunday Night Chinese food, and lots of sushi dates.	We were close friends and teammates before realizing we were each other's person, even when all of our friends knew it first! It is that foundation that has built our trust, communication, and relationship. Neither one of us really believes in coincidence, but our first date at Church of the Highlands, there was a brand new series starting that Sunday called "Extraordinary Relationships", E.R. for short. We both knew it was fate that we were suppose to be in that service together. God has blessed us and our relationship in so many ways.	Joe proposed in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the International Hot Air Balloon Festival! One of the many adventures we have been on together, and we look forward to continuing to explore new and old places together.	We will be getting married in beautiful Whitefish, Montana, outside of Glacier National Park. Growing up the Pape family spent many summers and winters in Whitefish, making it Home away from Home.This place holds such a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to share it.

Our Story

My Built in Best Friend. Ever since we met, I wanted to be like Lindsey, right down to the matching capri shorts we had to wear to Disney World. Lindsey has been my cheerleader and confidant for the last 20 years of my life, and I can't remember ever doing life without her. Lindsey took on the biggest role imaginable when Joe asked her to hold my ring right before the big proposal, so we thought it was only right she play the same big role in our wedding and also be our Officiant.

My Soul Sister. Where do I begin? My step dad gave a speech about family once, to his point, family isn't the DNA you share with someone, but rather the love between you. I couldn't picture my family without Tayla in it. Somewhere between braiding my hair for gymnastics meets when I was a kid, and standing next to her when she married her (other) best friend, we became inseparable.

The big sister I didn't know I needed, and she wasn't going to give me the option either. Lis scooped me up straight out of recruitment and never put me back. We have endured all that college had to throw our way including that random 8 am First Aid Class, but most importantly Lis was the one who brought me to Church of the Highlands. I owe everything I have experienced and gained through Highlands, to Lis. She brought me to 21 days of Prayer in January of 2019 and I have been going ever since.

The best of all of us put together. Ella has a radiance and joy for life that we all would greatly benefit from having more of. Ella is a girl's girl to her core. She is a loyal true friend, amazing listener, and quick as lightening to be there for you. Not to mention, she has the best sense of humor even in the most awkward of airport 5 am silences.  I am so incredibly proud to be her big sister.

Ashley is the sole reason I survived nursing school, and subsequently everything there after.  She loves hard and fierce and I am incredibly blessed to have her in my corner and to have experienced life with her for as long as I have.  Whether it's Girl's Night at Freddy's, Mexican any night of the week, or singing and crying in the living room, Ashley is always down for a girl's night just when I need it.

Sandi and I bonded over our love for Transplant, our patients, and our after work Friday Night Tacos.  She has a heart of gold, and is one of the most hard working and dedicated people I know. We have laughed and cried and then laughed some more together, and overall she is a good for your soul type of person.

If I had a "Get out of jail free card" it would 1000% be Myranda. Since we met, shoutout to Alpha Xi, she has been one of the biggest cheerleaders in my life, and man is she loud. Our shared love for Taylor swift has lead to some amazing experiences, dance parties, and loud karaoke nights in the car that wouldn't be the same with anyone else.

My younger brother, who, I was never able to call my little brother due to him always being my height or bigger than me. You have had my back in every way possible, not to mention the Auburn Tiger Eye we kept on the bathroom door for over 10 years without mom and dad finding out what was behind it. I’m so proud of you and the bright future that lays ahead of you.

I am amazed at how you place others before yourself and care for even the smallest of creatures. You have the kindest heart. I know you’re used to being surrounded by the girls, but I can’t wait to be your brother.

The new York charisma makes you confident and empathetic and you can have a deep and meaningful conversation with anyone. Your So Cal attitude has made the last year of life so easy going. We are so thankful for all you have done for us as a couple, and all of your love and support as we prepare for our future together.

We have a room block at a significant discount for guests who would like to stay at The Lodge. The room block rate is good for Thursday- Sunday. There is a selection of Double Queens, as well as Single Kings at two different places at The Main Lodge and The Viking Lodge. * in order to secure a room at the rate of the room block it will need to be booked before June 30th. This will be the closest airport to fly into. The drive from the airport to The Lodge is about a 20 minute drive.

Glacier Park International Airport

Some guests are choosing to fly into Bozeman, a 5 hour drive to the The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, in order to take a more scenic route, or a more direct flight.

Travel

The Marina has all kinds of rentals anyone can rent for the day after wedding activities. The PDF on the website has pricing and rental information.

There are so many hiking trails, lakes, and look out spots to see at Glacier National Park. I would highly recommend looking at their Instagram and website to see what is open, how to get a parking permit to get into the park, and what there is to explore!If you are planning on Hiking and going into the park you will need to get a car permit early on. Passes become available 120 days in advance.

Glacier Raft company offers full day and half day floats that can be a scenic tour or white water rafting! We have done the half day scenic tour and LOVED it. It is a beautiful way to see the mountains and potentially some wild life. The scenic float is very mild and anyone could do it. You do not need park access to go rafting, they will bus you to and from the loading site at the water! *Bring water and sunscreen.
