Where do they begin...

It has been just over six years since Lorraine and Paul were lucky enough to meet each other. Who would have thought that two “old fogies” would meet online? That said, it was with a little help from their friends. It was just before Covid, and during lockdown they spent endless hours chatting on the phone, truly getting to know one another.

Lorraine’s profile picture was of Obee, so Paul met Lorraine without even knowing what she looked like. Still, he was brave enough to drive all the way up to Chelsea to meet her (of course, when restrictions allowed). Lorraine cooked her mum’s secret spaghetti bolognese recipe in an attempt to impress him. Paul was so nervous he couldn’t eat—but as they say, the rest is history.

It wasn’t long before they realised they could build a wonderful future together. The city girl migrated to the Sussex countryside, and they spent lockdown side by side.

Their lives very quickly became entwined, and they decided to set up home together. Their friends welcomed each of them with open arms, and Lorraine and Paul feel incredibly blessed to have found one another.
