Booking.com offers the lowest fully-refundable rate at ~$190 p/n (inc. taxes and fees) for October. If you're unsure about your travel dates, we'd suggest booking the fully-refundable rate and then rebooking closer to the date if prices drop.

Louisa and Aamen first met at University College Dublin in Ireland, where Louisa was studying through a program with Cornell and Aamen was a student Aamen asks Louisa to coffee with a story that he is trying to have coffee with a new person each week. Years later, he admits this experiment was invented

First met

Aamen visited Louisa in New York in 2021, and that is when things got real. Aamen followed Louisa to Seattle for Thanksgiving to continue the fun and meet the whole family

Reconnecting

From then on, Louisa boomeranged between New York and Ireland over a dozen times, and Aamen visited New York as much as he could given his ongoing Irish citizenship process. We began to look forward to early morning airport reunions

Q: Do I need a visa?A: Most nationalities (including US, EU, &amp; Singapore) can obtain a visa on arrival for 30 days.The visa costs $25 USD (EUR or GBP) and is paid in cash. Q: Getting around Cairo, should I rent a car?A: Cairo is definitely a driving city, but we do not recommend renting a car as driving in Cairo is not for the faint of heart.Uber is everywhere, and very cheap! Aamen took a 40 min uber ride to the airport for $4 in November.We’ll arrange transport to/from the airport, on our tour days and to/from the wedding. Q: What should I wear in Cairo?A: Cairo is a major international city so these days, anything goes especially if you’re a tourist. There’s no expected dress code but a few things to keep in mind;Touristy areas: Anything goes.The only time it gets specific is if you are entering a mosque. In a mosque, women should cover their heads and dress conservatively. Men are required to cover “navel to knees.” Check the home page for our wedding dress code.Non-touristy areas:Women: Covering knees, chest &amp; shoulders. Carrying a shawl can come in handy, covering shoulders or heads where needed or keeping warm when indoors. Q: Do I need vaccinations:A: Egypt doesn’t require vaccines on entry unless you’ve recently been in an area of high risk of yellow fever.
