These two crazy kids other than sharing the same employer, didn’t know one another, but that was soon to change. One night while at a friends, game night, these UNOS became DOS but I’m getting ahead of the story.

Erika’s phone was mysteriously misplaced that night and Lucas being the amazing young gentleman he is offered to call her phone to find it. At that moment Lucas and Erika failed to realize they had just stored their fate. I don’t think either one of them imagined the four year adventure, that would lead to a lifetime of forevers.

Shortly thereafter I (Life) serendipitously made sure they would meet once more. This time they were by the river and just sat and talked for hours.About everything and nothing, dreams, schemes and themes. Just like the river time just flowed by and finally goodbyes were said and away they went their separate ways.

Erika had been out of town and once home, she had not been doing much socializing. Devon (IYKYK) invited her to a friends grill and chill. She was hesitant on going until I whispered in her ear “Lucas might be there”! Well, Miss Erika got spunky and off she went hoping to see if the hunch was right and they would see each other again. At arrival her eyes scanned the room and who does she see? Lo and behold who was there?Lucas!! SCORE! Once again they spoke into the night, only being aware of each other, until at one point they felt as if it was just them two. They had been hoping to be alone and when the moment was just right they shared an awesome kiss. At that moment they knew one day their love story would be written. Honesty, loyalty, respect, accountability, confidence, compassion, commitment are just a smidge of the qualities Lucas and Erika share. These are the foundations that create the stability of their relationship. Erika and Lucas don’t just love each other, most importantly they really like one another. The time they spend together could range from dancing, bowling, being foodies, laughing until it hurts or complete silence. Either or they feel the same sense of togetherness and satisfaction. They have traveled on planes, trains, snowboards and automobiles, luckily they both love Quinn XCII and Post Malone, have they fought?! HELL YEA!! But, at the end Erika looks into Lucas’s eyes and he touches those amazing curls and all is forgotten. Their “Love Leap” hasn’t been rushed or hurried, they continue to work hard, so to be the best version of themselves for each other. They know love is not always equal value, but equal sacrifice. They bring courage, strength, perseverance and fortitude into their marriage. They know I (Life) will test them, and push buttons, checking in on their vows of love. They know their journey is just beginning and they are prepared to meet it head on. Lucas allows Erika to see things with fresh eyes almost childlike, and he see’s all her qualities the good, the bad but no ugly. Just a fiery, but sweet beautiful girl he sat by a river one time and told her his dreams. Erika is determined for Lucas to always see the best in himself. She see’s his servant heart and knows for that, God will always bless them. She will proudly stand by him and meet any Goliath that stands in their way. She too see’s all his qualities, the good and the bad, but again no ugly. All she see’s is a boy who she sat by a river with her, and he wasn’t afraid to tell her his dreams.
