Our Wedding

Lucinda and Elliott’s story starts in 2011 when Lucinda went to a friend's party and the first person she saw was Elliott, sitting alone on the couch watching Harry Potter – she was smitten at first sight!&nbsp; After a few strategic hangouts with mutual friends, Lucinda and Elliott quickly formed a close friendship, bonded through weekly Sunday hikes in the Columbia Gorge and aimless drives, listening to music. They supported each other through nearly two years of boyfriends, girlfriends, heartache, and breakups, but they always knew there was a longing to be together. In June 2013, the wooing and waiting were finally over. Both Lucinda and Elliott were single at the same time and wasted no time in coupling up! It came as no surprise to either of them that their journey would result in being loved up for over a decade. Their relationship has gone through big and beautiful changes, mixed with moments of sweetness and a bit of sorrow too. Through it all, they’ve encouraged each other to pursue their dreams and to set off on big adventures, they’ve survived two years of long-distance and have moved to new cities to be with one another, they’ve built a life together and are excited for the next chapter.&nbsp; In 2023, Elliott and Lucinda honored their decade-long commitment to each other by tying the knot in the Mt. Hood National Forest on their anniversary, the summer solstice. They had always dreamed of a special ceremony amongst nature, just like Lucinda’s parents and sister, followed by a large wedding celebration with all their family and friends. As they learned early on in their relationship, good things come with time, and they are so excited to finally host a meaningful and magical weekend to honor the people who have given them so much support and love throughout their lives

How do we get to the venue? We recommend entering "31500 SW Blue Lake Dr, Sisters, OR 97759" into your navigation. The entrance to Caldera is at the far end of Suttle Lake, on the left side of Suttle Lake Rd. When you arrive at Caldera please drive slowly and park in designated areas.

Will meals be provided throughout the weekend? Breakfast and dinner will be provided each day. We feel passionately about the way that food brings people together and are humbly relying on our community to contribute to meals during the weekend. There will be a meal planned and food provided for 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners, but they will need the help of those who can pitch in and show their care through the food they cook. Each meal needs a Lead who can familiarize themselves with the recipe and oversee the team, Cooks who make the meal happen, and the Cleanup Crew who make sure everything makes it to the dishwasher and leftovers to the fridge. We'll make sure breakfast and dinner are covered, but guests are welcome to bring personal food that can be stored in the communal fridge at Tamarack Hall, personal fridges in the A-frames, or in the fridges in the main kitchen. Please label any food stored in shared spaces.

How long can we stay? We hope everyone will join us for the whole weekend! Guests may arrive after 4:00 pm on Friday, June 6th and stay until 11 am on Monday, June 9th.

Can we swim at Caldera? Yes! We are lucky to have private access to Blue Lake, which is Oregon's 3rd deepest lake. The lake is stunningly blue, clear, and cold! There will also be four canoes available for enjoying the lake above water.

What is the attire? Come dressed to impress! Feel inspired to dress up and get funky &amp; fancy, wear your favorite semi- formal outfit to the ceremony and party on Saturday. Please also bring attire comfortable for chilly nights, dirt paths, and dancing!

Smoking policy Smoking is allowed in designated areas only. Please help us in reminding our guests of this extremely important policy.

Can we bring our dog? Animals are not allowed at Caldera. As much as we love all furry friends, they are not invited.

Are children welcome? Absolutely! We are excited to celebrate with the whole family. Keep in mind that adult supervision is required for those under the age of 18 throughout the duration of the weekend.

Is there cell service? Cell service might be spotty depending on your service provider and location on the property. Plan to possibly go without service. WiFi is available in Tamarack Hall, the A-Frames, and in the main Hearth Building.

What essential items do you recommend? Although we aren't known as light packers, here is our short list of important items: sunscreen, hat / sunglasses, raincoat, and warm clothes. If you're up for taking a hike make sure to bring proper shoes, and a swimming suit &amp; towel even if you're only curious about a quick cold dip! We'd also love it if folks brought a musical instrument, favorite game, puzzle, or talent to share during the weekend!

The lodging rates listed reflect the true cost of what Caldera charges for an overnight stay. By covering the cost of your accommodations, you help make this special celebratory weekend possible! *Please note: while we hope to satisfy everyone's lodging preferences, we must also prioritize individuals/groups with specific needs.

Bell Tents and Tipis - $50 per night - Bell Tents sleep 2 (shown in photos, can be arrangedwith two single beds or one double bed)- Tipis sleep 4 single beds (not shown, but very special)- Communal bath palace includes showers *6 bell tents available*4 tipis available

Tent Camping - $25 per night - Bring your own tent- Communal bath palace w/ restrooms and showers- Beautiful placement near Blue Lake nestled amongst shady pines *8 spots available

We can't wait to share Caldera with all of our most favorite people, this special place is full of things to do. All of the following activities are meant to share what makes us happy, and honor the talents of our community! Some things can be done on your own, and some need your help to happen!

Swimming and Canoeing

Enjoy private access to Blue Lake, Oregon's 3rd deepest lake, made by a volcanic caldera. The icy blue waters are perfect for a polar plunge, but if you prefer exploring the lake above water, there will be canoes available! Folks are also welcome to bring their own paddle boards and kayaks, just know it's about a 10 minute walk from the parking area.

Hiking

There are two main trails, the first is a loop that takes hikers around the upper ridge of Blue lake, and the other follows the burnt forest to a meadow. For those who are up for added adventure, there is a hidden waterfall past the meadow that takes a bit of off-trail exploration to find.

Campfire

Come with a talent, prepare a skit, or lead a singalong song! Campfire is part of the magic of any camp experience, we are excited to share silly and sentimental moments around the fire with everyone!

The Library

The beautiful library is the perfect place to cozy up and hangout in the grand Hearth building. The library will be stocked with some of our favorite games, puzzles, and even a TV if movie night and some popcorn feels right.

Help cook a meal

Cooking has always been a source of joy throughout our relationship and is something we've loved sharing with friends we've made along the way. We want to continue to share the magic of cooking together in the kitchen at Caldera. We encourage interested guests to sign up* for a planned meal to cook together during the weekend. *sign up sheet coming soon!

Jam Band

Bring a musical instrument and join in on the fun of Family band! We believe a good jam sesh is all about getting silly, mixing many sounds, and finding the flow. All musical instruments are welcome, no need to be a pro to play!

Fishing & Sports

The stream that connects to Blue Lake is stunningly clear and good for fishing. Interested folks are welcome to bring their fly fishing rig or fishing rod. There's also a basketball hoop and sand volleyball court, bring a ball if you want to play!

So Much More! 

We have so many ideas for how to spend 3 fun filled days together! Some ideas include, karaoke, artist workshops, field games, a record breaking human pyramid?! An official activity schedule will be posted around the property so you can join in as you'd like!
