There isn't much to do in Denton honestly, but the square is cute! It has some stores to shop at such as a game store, a book store, a couple clothing boutiques, a small antique mall, some restaurants and misc. It's fun to walk around if you don't have other things to do.
If you are here another day, we recommend going to LSA in Denton Square. Get the Brisket queso, trust us!
This is a homemade ice cream store and from the street you will smell the waffle cones being made, it smells divine in there. The ice cream is also delicious and is a must for dessert. This is also in the square.
The strip of bars in Denton is called Fry street. There's about 4 or 5 bars and then some restaurants. Though to warn you, it will be a lot of college students as this is the street that UNT students go to bar hop on the weekends.
If you're here for longer and have a rental car, you might consider going to Fort Worth! The Stockyards are a fun experience, or you can also go to Sundance Square. There are lots of amazing restaurants in Fort Worth too - if you go, feel free to reach out to Jordan, she has lots of recs. They also have a pretty botanical garden in Forth Worth.
Similarly, if you stay for a while and have a rental car, Dallas is a place to visit as well. The Arboretum is fun and they might be doing their fall display with pumpkins by then, which is fun to go to and take photos! There's also lots of restaurants, shopping and activities - feel free to reach out for recommendations.
