How we met:

During a time when the world was at a standstill and face-to-face communication was halted Josetta’s friend Brianna encouraged her to download an app to meet new people. Josetta thought ‘why not’ give the app a try. After a brief period of time, Josetta received an email informing her she had admirers. She logged back in and swiped right on a handsome young man named James. Josetta and James matched in May 2020 and began communicating via the app. Shortly after James asked Josetta for her number and the rest is history.

Our First Date:

Still in the midst of the pandemic, James invited Josetta to his home for dinner for their first date. He made bacon-wrapped steak with a variety of vegetables. I thought, this man really

knows his way around the kitchen. We talked while enjoying the delicious meal. Of course, I know my way around a kitchen, James thought. The Bible says, "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." 2 Thess 3:10. 43 Geterlations goes on to say..."If I don't cook, I don't eat either!" LOL Many of our first memories as a couple have taken place in the kitchen over a good home-cooked meal.

One Thing Lead to Another:

After talking on the phone and sharing text messages, we learned of our common love of family, food, and travel. We decided to make things official and started dating. Josetta stated early in the relationship that she was dating for marriage, and I said I wasn't interested in getting married. How many of you know that God's plans are not our plans? After dating for three years, the Holy Spirit pricked James' heart and moved him to ask Josetta to marry him on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Well, the rest, as they say, is history in the making.
