I am the baby girl and middle child of Pastor W.J. and Reverend Lady Delaney Kay Frierson of Manning, SC. I am the younger sister of Ingra Frierson, the late TanIngra Frierson, and the older sister of Kelvin and Jr. I hold degrees from the University of South Carolina and Webster University, and I am currently pursuing an Education Specialist degree in principal leadership at Arkansas State University. I enjoy listening to live music, attending concerts, traveling with my travel partner, eating great food (usually cooked by Mr. Geter), watching movies, and having fun, playing competitive activities like air hockey. I am a former HR manager turned English educator in Sumter County, and I am just embarking on my sixth year in Education. Hello all! What's not to be said about me? I'm the latest and greatest to ever do it!!! I am the son of the Late James B. Geter, Sr., and Willie Mae Geter and a little brother to Traci Bates. I have one daughter and one granddaughter. Educated in the South Carolina Primary and Secondary School system, I'm a 2004 graduate of USC-Upstate. I enjoy spending time with family and traveling. I have been around the world, to six (6) county fairs, and seven (7) buzzard fu.. well, you get the picture? I also like to take long-distance motorcycle rides, completing my second cross-country ride along with my Fiancé this past June. I am employed with Norfolk Southern Railroad's corporate office in Atlanta, GA, and I am looking forward to enjoying all that the world has to offer with my soon-to-be-wed travel partner Josetta. I currently reside in Stonecrest, GA. As we say out on the rails..."Here we go!"

My niece, Delaney, is a sophomore at Allen University in Columbia, SC. She excels in both track and cheerleading, and actively participates in student government and the housing department. Delaney is pursuing a degree in Biology with a minor in Sports Management.

Sheryl is my sister from another mister. We have known each other since the 80's. Sheryl has always been my voice of calm, logical, and rational thinking. She has always had my back. Sheryl is the Department Chair and Professor for the Advanced Professional Nursing Practice & Leadership at the University of South Carolina-Columbia Campus. She is married to my brother from another mother, Mr. Michael Mitchell, and together they have one very spoiled fur-baby Sam.

Jessica is my first cousin, a fellow Sagittarian whom I affectionately call Jessica Ashley. I was honored to be one of Jessica's bridesmaids when she said "I do," and I felt it was essential she was there when I started this new chapter of my life. Jessica is a school counselor for Clarendon School District in Manning, SC, and an active first lady of her church, Mt. Zion UMC. She is married to Troy Cato and is the proud mother of little Miss Madelyn Olivia Bernice Cato.

Tobe and I are first cousins by birth and sisters by choice. I have known Tobe Renita all her life, as I’m her older cousin. Fun fact: Our birthdays are one day apart (December 10 & 11), and we have had some amazing joint birthday celebrations over the years. My favorite was when Tobe surprised me for my 40th birthday in Savannah, GA, and our entire family was in on the surprise! If you know me, I am NOT easy to surprise. Tobe epitomizes letting God’s light shine through you so others may see and know His good works. She is a driven and inspiring woman of God. In May 2024, I was Tobe’s maid of honor in her beautiful and well-awaited wedding to Mr. Larry Dickerson. Tobe resides in the Washington, D.C., area with her husband Larry. She is the Director of Strategic Enrollment Management at a prestigious university there.

I have been blessed to know Sidra for over 20 years, ever since we first met in our early twenties while working for the state government. We instantly connected over a shared love of high heels and extended lunch breaks and became close friends! Over the years, we’ve shared many conversations about life, love, and her dream wedding, and now, I’m truly honored and excited to have Sidra stand by my side on our special day! Sidra is a Columbia native, but she’s been a Georgia peach for the past 10 years! She is happily married to Jason, and they have 3 children and a little Maltipoo, Blaze.

In August 2019, I had the pleasure of meeting Brianna during the New Teacher Orientation in Sumter, SC. We instantly formed a strong bond as we embarked on our new careers in education. Our discussions were filled with excitement about our future at Lakewood High School. However, in March 2020, our first year of teaching was unexpectedly disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. During this challenging time, Brianna encouraged me to stay connected through social media while practicing social distancing. During this period, I took Brianna's advice and eventually met my fiance' James. It can be said Brianna played a significant role in connecting me with James. Brianna's driven and caring nature is evident in everything she does, and her passion for helping others in need is truly inspiring. This July, I had the privilege of witnessing her marriage to Rayshun Morris, which was a beautiful and heartwarming event. Brianna resides in Evans, Georgia, with her husband, Ray, and is a dedicated speech pathologist.

Electra is my beloved cousin, and we share many meaningful connections. Her father, Harold, was the best man at my parents' wedding in May 1976, and I was born on December 10, which is also Uncle Harold's birthday. I had the honor of being a hostess at Electra's beautiful wedding to her middle school sweetheart and lifelong partner, Kevin Graham, in March 2004. Throughout the years, we have cherished countless moments of laughter and shared numerous meals at family gatherings. Electra's unwavering support and wise counsel, especially in matters concerning women, have made a profound impact on me. In Columbia, SC, Electra serves as a dedicated doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she resides with her husband of 20 years and their son, Shombay.

I have known Kernita since middle school. We both share a love for music and have made cherished memories, such as attending a Fantasia concert together. Thanks to Kernita, I had the opportunity to join her in celebrating her 40th birthday in Las Vegas, and it was a wonderful time. Her influence has greatly impacted my decision to become an educator, for which I am truly grateful. Although we may not talk often, our conversations always feel like we spoke just yesterday. On September 8, 2007, I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in Kernita's wedding to Eugene. Kernita is a Behavior Intervention Specialist in Columbia, SC. Kernita has been married to Eugene Porter IV for 17 years, and they have been blessed with a son, Eugene Lamar, and a daughter, Kania Lee.

Natasha and I, two souls with a shared love for fashion and music, met at Lakewood High School when I dress-coded her daughter. I was in my second year of teaching, and she was working as a long-term substitute post-Covid 19. Our bond deepened as we started teaching across the hall from each other, and our shared interests led to many engaging conversations. Natasha and her husband Shawndell, a couple whose love has stood the test of time, have been happily married for an impressive 25 years. Together, they have raised a beautiful family of 6 children.

Que and I met two years ago at a Murphy family function, and our connection was instant. We both realized that no family event is complete with a good line dance! Que is a giving and caring person who is always willing to help. Que is a registered nurse who lives in Gastonia with her husband, Tyrone, Ben's best man and cousin. Together, they have a beautiful one-year-old girl, Little Miss Tyler Reign.

The future daughter-in-love of the Bride, Haniah, is the daughter of the Groom and the mother of Flower Girl Ja'nya. Haniah currently lives and works in Memphis, Tennessee, and enjoys spending time with her friends. Though you cannot tell by her size, she is a foodie and enjoys good food.

Jazzy, my niece, is a freshman at Lander University with a dream to become an engineer. She is also a proud member of the Bearcat Women’s Basketball Team. Her high school basketball career was filled with remarkable achievements, including being selected for the Carolina All-Star Team (NC vs SC), chosen as a 4A All-State player, recognized as a Pee Dee All-Star, and named the Region 4 AAAA Player of the Year for two consecutive years. Now, in her rookie year at Lander, she is working to add to these basketball accolades. Jazzy's achievements are a source of pride and inspiration for all of us. She is a kind and loving individual who cherishes time spent with her family and friends. She is a martial arts blackbelt who enjoys reading and playing video games.

Jaelyn, my 17-year-old niece, is the daughter of my sister, Ingra Latriese, and Stephen Talley. Jaelyn was born in January and is a very talented artist. She has been blessed with the gifts of acting and singing. She is a member of the drama department at James F. Burnes High School, and she has acted in several plays, including "Mean Girls," "The Little Shop of Horrors," and "Legally Blonde 1 & 2." She is also a singer and enjoys making music in her free time. Furthermore, she enjoys reading, cooking, and binge-watching her favorite TV show, "Yasuke." She has a clear vision for her future when she graduates high school. She plans to attend college to get her nursing degree and become a neonatal nurse. Her determination and focus on her future are truly inspiring. She is one of the most uplifting, spirited people anyone could meet.

McKenzie, my 12-year-old niece, embodies the essence of forest green as part of her identity. Like her older sister Jaelyn, she is deeply passionate about theater and actively involved in it. She maintains a close bond with all of her D.R. Hill Middle School teachers. A dedicated A-B student, she aspires to serve on the student council. Her humor and intelligence shine brightly, making her an inspiration to those around her.

Brother/Cousin, Brother in the Bond, best, entrepreneur, and the list, I'm sure, can go on and on. T-Pain, as I like to call him, is like my little/Big brother, paying deference where it's due, as we both are members of the greatest fraternity in ALL the land: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. We have always been close, just like with his older brother BJ; Tyrone spent many Sundays with us as my mom used to bring him home with us just about every Sunday until he was old enough to start school. I grew up in a house with my mother and my sister, who is 10 years my senior, Tyrone would watch the interaction between the three of us, and often times when I was being scolded by my mother and then subsequently my sister. Amazed by this when he got home he excitedly told his mom, my aunt, "Momma guess what...Ben got two mamas!!!" As he grow up we were there for many of life's milestones i.e. College Graduations, birthday celebrations, fraternal bonding you get the picture. Tyrone resides in Gastonia, NC, with his wife, Que, and has two (2) children.

My brother-in-law to the Groom "Tarq" has been closer than a brother to me over the 17 years I have known him. Though he is married to my sister, Tarq has been supportive and shown love to our family in ways that make him not just an "In-Law" but kin. This is why I asked Tarq to stand with me on my wedding day. His response to me has always been what it is when I have asked him anything: "No problem, let me know if there is anything you need. If I can help you, I got you." As an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, he is also active in his local chapter, working to positively impact the lives of area youth. He is an Army veteran who has been an educator in the Atlanta School system for the past 22 years. He currently resides in Rex, GA, with his wife, and Big Sister to the Groom Traci, and has one child.

Cousin/Brother Derrick and James grew up together, attending church and school and sharing a love of motorcycles. In 2009, Derrick taught James how to ride his very first motorcycle. After graduating high school, Derrick joined the US Navy. As he traveled around the globe, training for various roles, he would often invite me to visit to see what fun I would have if I joined the Navy as well. There hasn't been a time that I couldn't call on Derrick to help if I were in need or found myself in a "sticky" situation... hey that's what family is for, right? LOL Derrick is a recently retired Navy veteran who resides in Upstate, South Carolina. He has one son.

Being the 1st cousin of Josetta, you can tell that she has a special relationship with her kin just as much as I do because, just like with her two brothers and nephew, she asked if Marlo could also be at the wedding. Thinking back on the first time meeting Marlo, I realize he was friendly and open to getting to know me as a person. I am looking forward to continuing to learn more about him and making family memories in the years to come. A successful IT professional and Entrepreneur Marlo currently resides in Charlotte, NC, with his wife Tamara. They have four (4) children.

Being's 1st cousin of the Josetta, you can tell that she also has a special relationship with her kin just as much as I do, because just like with her two brothers and nephew, she asked me if her cousin Dr. John Lesaine, "also known as "John John," also be in the wedding. Thinking back on the first time I met John, he was friendly and open to getting to know me as a person. Like his cousin and uncle before him, John is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Again, I state that we can't all be perfect. YO YO!!! I am looking forward to continuing to learn more about him and making family memories in the years to come. John currently resides in Columbia, SC.

Younger brother to Josetta, when I first met JR, as he is affectionately known to his family, he dapped me up, hugged me, and welcomed me to the family. After our engagement, Josetta asked if I could include her brother in the wedding. Again, like with Kelvin, I had no reservations about asking him to stand with me on our wedding day. Upon asking, he said he would be honored and offered to sing for us during the ceremony if needed. JR resides in Greenville, SC, and has four (4) children.

Eric and I go back about 17 years, first meeting in Columbia, SC, while interviewing for Management Trainee positions with Waste Management. We worked together for several years before he pursued roles of increasing responsibility with other companies. But one thing was sure we always remained in contact. In 2017, we had the pleasure of working together again, but this time, Eric served as my supervisor. In addition to his providing leadership to me, as I maneuvered the challenges of my new role working under him, he would also inquire when I planned on settling down and getting married. Because of this, I had to have Eric participate by standing with me on the day I get married. Eric resides in Woodstock, GA, with his wife, Tasha, and their three (3) children.

Though he is my first cousin, we grow up as brothers. BJ and I go back a long way and there is so much that I can say about the adventures we've had along the way, but this format cannot contain it all. Growing up together, we spent many nights at each other's homes, riding three-wheelers and playing video games, talking about life as we knew it then... imagine that two kids contemplating life...LOL. My most memorable recollection is of us entertaining our parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles on Christmas Day and Sunday evenings with after-dinner concerts in the kitchen on Cotton Drive. Folks, you just had to have been there. BJ resides in Spartanburg, SC, and has one daughter.

Kelvin, Josetta's baby brother, was the first of her two brothers that I met. From day one, he was kind and open to developing a lasting relationship long before I knew that I would one day marry his sister. Kelvin is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, but I didn't hold that against him. Hey, we all can't be perfect. YO YO!!!! After getting engaged, Josetta asked if her brother could serve as one of my Groomsmen. Understanding the role that they play for the Groom, I had no reservations about asking Kelvin to stand with me on Jo's and my day. Kelvin resides in Greer, SC, with his wife Marianna.

CCCHHRRIIISSS is one of the first of my 2nd cousins that I used to keep. Yep, you guessed it. I changed his diapers and fed him. You get the picture. All the usual older cousin watching younger cousin jazz. Coming up, like most kids, Chris asked a lot of questions, and since I gave him the most answers, that was how many of our interactions were. He asked the questions, and I tried to give him the straightest answers. I could say, I was a role model to my cousins, but they indeed have been an inspiration to me. Chris has gotten married, is raising a family, and is buying and rehabbing properties to rent to secure his family's future. Chris resides in Chesnee, SC, with his wife Brandi and three children.

Cousin Jay, I was little when you came on the scene. I remember being at your first birthday party when you lived over on Ardmore Road in the Park Hills Community, and you literally smashed your cake in my face; I'm sure somebodies got the pictures. From making roads in Grandma and Papa's yard with the leaves we raked to make roads for you to play with our Tonka Trucks and to playing Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo 'cause I was a Saga kid. When you got married, you asked me to be in your wedding, and I am proud to have been able to return the favor by having you stand with me in mine. Ronnie resides in Anderson, SC, with his wife, Seema, and her four children.

Cameron is the last of the Mohegans, as it relates to my second cousins, whom I actively helped babysit and look after. What's special about this guy is that, as an infant, he was my "chick magnet." I used to take Cam to the mall and various outings, and his fat cheeks and chubby legs used to get all the ladies' attention. LOL. So it's only right that Cam stands with me as I am legally taken off the market. Cameron currently resides in Charleston, SC, with his cat Yoda.

P..E..Y..TTTTOOOONNN!!!!! There is so much I can say in just the few short years that I have known you. As the Nephter (Nephew/Brother) of Josetta, you know your Auntster (Aunt/Sister) could not get married without having you a part of our special day. Peyton is a decorated student-athlete who excels on the court and off. We've enjoyed good times, from trips to Myrtle Beach with your sister and Josetta shopping for school clothes, the skating Rink, movies, and Splat gun showdowns in the backyard, where clearly I found out how out of shape I am. I'm looking forward to watching you grow into a successful young man. Peyton currently resides in Manning, SC, with his grandparents and sister.

Jade-Ann is a whole vibe! She is a witty, energetic six-year-old who is always ready for an adventure. This sassy first grader hates pizza but loves yogurt and could eat cereal all day. Like her sister Jazzy, she is a basketball phenom and also excels on the soccer field. Jadey enjoys cheering with the Hartsville Varsity Basketball Cheer Team; however, her undisputed passion is dance! She spends countless hours listening to music and choreographing. Jade-Ann is a dedicated member of Move Dance Academy’s 2024 national championship dance team.

Maddie Cato is my little cousin, the daughter of Rev. Troy and Mrs. Jessica Cato. She enjoys reading, dancing, and going to the park.

Affectionately known as "Sweet Little Baby" by her Great-Grandmother, Ja'Nya is James's only grandchild. This 4 yro has made quite the impression on those she meets, and she never meets a stranger. She offers a big smile and energetic wave to everyone she sees. Her favorite shows are Baby Shark, Sponge Bob, Blue's Clues, and Gabby's Dollhouse. Her favorite meals include white spaghetti, french fries, apples, and chicken nuggets. Ja'nya currently resides in Milton, FL, where she is in 4K.

Aminah is my grand neice, a 3-year-old with a vibrant personality. She's often seen in a princess dress, complete with matching shoes, tiara, and purse. Aminah loves playing with her brother and cousins, and her favorite toys are her baby dolls. Her top TV shows are Bluey and Gabby's Dollhouse, and she can often be heard singing her favorite song, "I'm a Barbie Girl." Aminah's love for singing is not just a hobby, but a talent she's proud of. She's quick to 'do a remix' of a song, adding her own words to a verse or two, showcasing her creativity.

Ace, my grand-nephew, is a six-year-old first grader with a heart of gold. His favorite subject is math, and he dreams of becoming a scientist. He is a fan of Spider-Man, Super Mario, and Sonic the Hedgehog, and his speaking capabilities are impressive. He has a unique way of making everyone feel like a friend, and he is always there to protect his sister, a testament to his loving nature.

Julian a very joyful, energetic, smart, caring, and adventurous 2-year-old. He loves the outdoors and enjoys riding in his shiny red Power Wheels car. He loves to play with his drums and sing his favorite songs, Old Mcdonald and Baa Baa Black Sheep. He enjoys eating watermelon; he gets it from his mama and grapes while watching his favorite cartoons. His favorite food is fish; just like a fish, he loves swimming. Julian will melt anyone's heart with his bright eyes and soft bye-byees.
