We suggest landing in Guatemala on Thursday and making your way to Antigua either Thursday or early Friday as we have the Welcome Party Friday evening.
The hotel blocks are extended through Sunday so you are more than welcome to explore Antigua, or visit other sites such as Lake Atitlan, Tikal, and/or Puertos San Jose.

In Guatemala, the currency used is called Quetzal (Q). Some places accept dollars, but you may get a better deal by paying in quetzals. We recommend that you exchange your dollars in Banks in Antigua Guatemala, or in the Currency-Exchange office at the airport. Credit cards are accepted at restaurants and hotels. The currency may vary by the time of your visit, but the rate of exchange currently is $1 = $7.82 Q.
November is a great month, with temperatures between 59°F and 75°F. It tends to cool down at night so we suggest you pack a light jacket. Rainy season is over in November, so expect great weather!
Please DO NOT DRINK TAP WATER. You should avoid drinking any water that isn't bottled. You should also avoid ordering drinks with ice as once the ice melts, it will mix with your drink and can lead to an upset stomach. I would also recommend avoiding raw fruits that don't have peels and vegetables.
For Santo Domingo, you can park in Santo Domingo's parking garage.
For the wedding reception, you can park directly in the wedding reception parking there is plenty of space!
Credit card are accepted in most places, however in local markets you might need to bring some quetzales in order to get good bargains!
