Our Wedding

Mackenzie and Lukas' paths first crossed on a chilly fall night in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, on a beach in Pickering, Ontario. At the time, Lukas was in the Canadian Army Reserves where some army friends convinced him to come out for a beach bonfire and drinks. Lukas was assured that it would just be "the boys" and so he wore his 'hanging out and drinking with the boys attire'. As Lukas was walking up to the beach he realized there were some girls in attendance that he was not prepared for, however, he didn't know that one of those girls he would later become married to and have a kid with. When Lukas met Mackenzie, he was charmed by Mackenzie's debate skills when she started talking politics and history to Lukas. It only took a couple drinks, a political debate, and a bonfire for the two to fall deeply in love with each other. Mackenzie and Lukas started dating several months later and eventually, Lukas proposed to Mackenzie at the very same spot that they met. They now have a beautiful baby girl named Grayson and are looking forward to celebrating the start of an incredible and exciting new chapter in their life with all their family and friends!

Mackenzie and Kendra met in elementary school but did not become friends until 2013 when they were in the same art class. Mackenzie messaged Kendra on Facebook and asked if she wanted to sit beside her. They've been bestfriends since! Kendra is also the godmother of Grayson, Mackenzie and Lukas' daughter!

Mackenzie x2 met back in elementary school in their very early childhood and have been best friends ever since. They were always together before and after school and even had sleepovers on school nights!

Mackenzie Bradley

Mackenzie and Mikayla met by playing on the same rep soccer team when they were kids and have been friends ever since. They also worked together at the Shoe Company after high school!

Mikayla Terzo

Although their friendship started through Instagram, Mackenzie and Aleks have been great friends for years now and even worked together at Booster Juice!

Mackenzie and Rylee met in 2021 through work and their friendship started immediately. They love to joke around with each other and have fun!

Rylee Hogan

Mackenzie and Sarah met through work and became close friends and management buddies! They enjoy going to country concerts together!

Sarah Bryant

Mackenzie and Laurie met through Lukas' best man and became really great friends! They love to hangout and go to concerts, shopping, sporting events, etc! 

Laurie Slater

Lukas and Jake met in junior kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. Fun fact: they were banned from being in the same class all of elementary school after kindergarten. Jake is also the godfather of Grayson, Mackenzie and Lukas' daughter!

Jake McIntyre

Lukas and Marcus met in their early years of elementary school after an incident in the school yard where Marcus bit Lukas' arm. Since leaving the principals office, they have been close friends and have grown up completing many adrenaline filled adventures.

Marcus Subratee

Lukas and Lucas (Newts) met early on in elementary school and have been friends since. They have played on numerous sport teams together throughout their lives including volleyball and hockey teams. They also went skydiving for the first time together in Florida.

Lucas Newton

Lukas and Van met in 2018 at university and despite Van being from Ohio and going to school in Toronto, they have stayed very close. They enjoy going golfing with each other!

Van Myers

Lukas and William met in 2018 at university where they became very close. William has joined the United States Air Force and loves to brag about how much bigger the US military is over the Canadian military. They enjoy golfing and getting together with all the boys!

William Lupton

Lukas and Ryan met in 2018 at university and have been friends ever since. They both enjoy golfing and their fantasy sports pools!
