Our Wedding

Adam and Mackenzie both began college attending Otterbein University in Fall 2021. They met one weekend after moving in on August 28, 2021. They both happened to be out with friends in Columbus, about 20 minutes away from Otterbein's campus. The story goes that Mackenzie saw Adam and made the first move...the rest is history!

How We Met:

Adam and Mackenzie began dating about a month after meeting on September 22, 2021. Their first date was walking to Dairy Queen on State Street in Westerville, OH!

Began Dating:

Adam proposed to Mackenzie the day before Thanksgiving on November 27, 2024. They were in the middle of hiking when Adam told Kenzie he saw something and wanted her to come see. When Kenzie came over to where Adam was, he popped the question! Mackenzie truly did not see it coming! Adam had his best friend since childhood, Kole, hiding in camo in the woods to capture the moment. Thanks for braving the cold for the couple, Kole!

Our engagement:

By their wedding date of 10/24/25, Mackenzie and Adam will have been together for just over 4 years! The couple have made many memories together, established traditions, and done lots of traveling in this time!

Ainsley has been my best friend since birth. We have been by each others side our whole lives; from playing barbies and American Girl Doll, to gymnastics meets and soccer games, high school graduation, and eventually living together as roommates in college. We've done it all! Ains has been there through all of the highs and lows, and is the most supportive soul. She is someone to go to about anything and she will always do whatever she can to help. Ains also has such a fun and infectious personality, and quite literally lights up any room she is in. I am so thankful for the past 22 years of memories, laughs, and love she has brought into my life. It was a no brainer Ains was going to be my maid of honor for my wedding day!

Ainsley Owen 

Gen came into my life a few years ago through my brother...thank you Zach! She is such a genuine and supportive person. I am so grateful for her. I got to know Gen first from visiting Zach at OSU, and then eventually Gen and I both attended OSU as students ourselves. A lot of my core memories with Gen revolve around late nights in Columbus and OSU football games, but also many holidays and birthdays. It has been very fun being able to go through these different chapters together, and I knew I wanted to have Gen by my side through this new chapter too!

Gen Re

Molly and I became close friends after Adam and Kole trapped us in a car together for 9 hours. Kidding! Well kind of - Molly and I first met on our junior year spring break trip to Killington, Vermont. We bonded immediately in the car and then became even closer over the remainder of the trip. Ever since, Molly has become a special person to me. She is truly a ray of sunshine! I don't get to see her often, but I can always feel her love and joy through her text messages, its honestly hard to put into words! I couldn't imagine my big day happening without her being a part of it.

My twin! Kenzie got brought into my life through Tyler a few years ago...thank you, Tyler! Kenzie has an energy that is unmatchable and she will never fail to make you laugh. She is also one of the most supportive souls and will do anything for you. Kenzie and I have gone to a handful of Country Fest's together, but also many bonfires and hangouts with all of Tyler and Adams friends. We've also endured together many moments of being called Kenzie 1 and Kenzie 2. I can't imagine a time without having her friendship, so I knew my wedding would not be complete without her standing by me!

Kenzie Fox

Kole and I have been friends since high school. We've done everything together from sports, church, playing pool in his basement for hours, car painting cars, road trips where we sing a little too much Toby Keith (no such thing)... or even letting him pick the spot where I proposed to Kenzie at where he sat in the woods, in November, in camo just so he wouldn't be seen. Kole is someone I can always count on to just hangout and talk, be idiots together, and especially team up together against Kenzie to annoy her. Truly someone I can't imagine not having as a friend and there's nobody else I'd want to be standing beside me on my wedding day!

Where do I even start?? I first met Petter freshman year of college when we were both playing football together. Then after freshman year I asked him if he wanted to room with me even though we barely knew each other. Little did I know that question would lead to a friendship I wouldn't want any other way. Pettet and I have wayyyyy too many stories to share in a little paragraph but all of them can be wrapped up into having a good time together or just talking about life together (listening to Pettet's women stories). I can always count on Pettet to be there for me, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to have experienced college with!

Landen Pettet

I would say this picture of Seth and I can sum up a lot about where and how we became such close friends. From the age of around 10 till just a few years ago we've played baseball or slow-pitch softball together every summer and we've been life-long throwing partners (baseball people will understand the importance). But aside from that Seth and I have many memories together from singing Zach Bryan in his truck every time on the way to softball in Canton where I was the "Sun to Seth" long before Zoe was... iykyk. All the way to standing next to him on his wedding day just a few months ago. Needless to say I couldn't imagine Seth not being a part of my my big day!

I've known Tyler for as long as I can remember and I feel like there are too many stories to fit into a little paragraph to explain the friendship and bond that we have. Sports growing up, camping at the same campground together for years, going to The Country Fest every year together, and being so close of friends that the Kenzie's have become best friends too! I can honestly say some of my best memories with Tyler have been made at country fest with Tyler, myself, and the Kenzies playing games, hanging out, and seeing some of our favorite artists up close! I can easily say Tyler is an amazing friend and couldn't think of my wedding day being the same without him up there beside me!

Sometimes I think Kenzie wishes her brother and I didn't get along so well to tag team making fun of her, kidding, kind of, not really lol. But in all seriousness, Zach is an amazing person and fun to be around. I've been able to spend a lot of time with Zach over the last 4 years of being with Kenzie and laugh over many jokes, have fun going out in Columbus, and many Buckeyes games (even though we haven't beat TTUN in the last 4 years). All in all, Zach is a great person, a great brother to Kenzie, and someone I couldn't be happier to have standing with me on my wedding day!
