Laura Laitio - Matron of Honor

Laura and I go way back to our middle school days when our bond began with crafting hilarious t-shirts and riding our bikes down Espola Road in Poway. Our adventures have only escalated since then, taking us to Mammoth, Spain, Costa Rica, and camping at the Kern. The laughter we share is unparalleled; I laugh the hardest when I’m with her (only Laura understands my weird sense of humor). Now, Laura, along with her husband Renny, have a home in Vista, complete with their beautiful daughter London, and the crazy cat, Olive. In addition to the laughter, I owe Laura a huge debt of gratitude for not only being an amazing friend but also for being the cupid who introduced me to my hunk, Brandon.

Brittany Anderson

Brittany and I crossed paths the week before school kicked off at Design 39 Campus, and from the very start, we faced the rollercoaster of the first year together. Friday Happy Hours, steeped in laughter and tales of our students, quickly transformed into a cherished tradition. Among the highlights were the spirited parties with drinking games, where we'd raise our glasses to Charyl Kaiser before savoring a shot! Despite Brittany's transition from teaching to the dynamic world of finance, we consistently found time to catch up and share moments of connection.

Abbey Bryant

Abbey and I connected the week before Design 39 Campus kicked off the school year, and from the get-go, her drive and passion for teaching were truly inspiring. She became my catalyst for trying new things, like taking on the challenge of running an Ultra Marathon. (And let's just say, my body is still recovering!) But the impact doesn't end there – I owe Abbey a huge thanks for being the secret architect behind Brandon's unforgettable proposal. Getting the students organized and keeping that secret for so long? Nobody else could've pulled it off!

Jenna and I have created lasting memories in Newport, thanks to cherished family traditions that brought us together year after year. The anticipation leading up to our Newport Beach reunions was always a highlight. Though our beach tradition has shifted, I'm now eagerly looking forward to our upcoming trips to Vegas. Times may change, but our shared adventures continue, whether by the ocean or under the neon lights!

Natalie Pena

My friendship with Natalie sprouted in the teaching credential program, and the moment she mentioned graduating from San Francisco State University, I sensed a kindred spirit. Our connection has only deepened from there, blossoming through memorable experiences like her aunt's legendary Halloween parties and mini escapades in Santa Monica.

Maya Thiellen

My cousin Maya and I have shared countless wonderful moments in Newport. Basking in the sun all day and engaging in many fun games of dominos were always highlights. Another memorable highlight was Nanny waking us up with her early morning serenade of “A Pretty Girl.” I can't help but wish you were closer to the West Coast! Our last visit to Virginia, where Brandon and I danced and sang with baby Mackenzie and played with Noah remains a cherished highlight.
