Who are you people?
Mitchell Krieger and Mackenzie Hannum, henceforth referred to as "The Honties."
RSVP Questions
What date should I RSVP by?
To be decided, but assuming sometime in April 2024.
Can I bring a plus-one?
If your invite included a different name or "and guest", then yes!
Am I allowed to bring my children?
Unfortunately, we cannot host children at our wedding. We love your kids, but the venue space is not well-suited for them.
We are happy to provide babysitting recommendations and resources in the area if you will be traveling with your children. Our main hotel, The Junto, is right across the street from COSI (Center of Science and Industry), a great science-center/museum for families. We also recommend the Columbus Zoo!
How can I get wedding updates?
Keep an eye on this website! But feel free to text or call us directly with anything major.
Accomodations
FAQs About Accomodations
We have four hotel wedding blocks. Check out both the Accommodations and Things to Do pages for information on hotels, Airbnbs, and Columbus neighborhoods.
We highly recommend The Junto!
Why do you recommend The Junto?
It's where the wedding party and most of our family will be staying, plus it is a very short walk to our venue. The Junto also has a breakfast café (Maudine's), a cocktail bar and cozy fireside library (The Trade Room), a rooftop bar (Brass Eye), a wood-hearth restaurant (Little West Tavern), and a to-go window serving a late-night Canadian favorite (The Little West Poutine Window).
When do I need to book a hotel?
All of our hotels & rates are open until sometime in April. Please refer to the Accommodations page to see the specific dates for each hotel. If you are reading this sentence in late April, past all of the cutoff dates, give reservations a call and ask for the Krieger/Hannum rate- hotels are usually flexible depending on availability.
Wedding Day Transportation
Will there be a shuttle or transportation provided?
Unfortunately, there will be no transportation from the hotels to the venue. The venue is a short walk from The Junto and a 5-10 minute drive from our other recommended hotels.
Can I drive to the venue? Is there parking?
Absolutely! There is a free parking lot across the street from Strongwater, located at 424 W Walnut St.
Guests may leave their cars overnight and retrieve them on Sunday morning. (Don't drink and drive!)
How do we get from the ceremony to the cocktail hour/reception? What about the after-party?
Your legs! Luckily, it is all in the same building!
For the after-party, we will be walking to a brewery a few doors down from our venue. For the super secret after-after party, we will be walking over to our hotel, The Junto!
Wedding Day FAQs
What is the dress code?
The dress code will be formal / formal-cocktail attire.
Men should wear a suit in any color, tie optional.
Women should wear a cocktail dress, pantsuit, midi- or knee-length dress, dressy separates, etc.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors behind Strongwater. The ground is concrete, so don't worry about choosing the right footwear.
Pending weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the reception hall.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Absolutely! We're pretty sure 80% of Kenzi's wedding party is celiac. Please just let us know ahead of time so we can work with our caterer.
Will there be an open bar?
It's a Krieger/Mamula & Hannum/Norval wedding. C'mon. We would never betray you like that. Beware of the slivo...
Wedding Registry and Gifts
Do you have a wedding registry?
Yes, it will be revealed pending a long discussion between the bride and groom. (What's cooler, dish towels or an Oculus Quest 2 Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset???)
Where should we bring or send our wedding gift?
We love our home in Philadelphia, but please do not send gifts there or they WILL be stolen.
We are happy to receive gifts at the wedding or have them sent to Mackenzie's parents' home in Columbus. Their address is listed on the registry.
Rules and Hot-Takes
Am I allowed to take photos?
PLEASE do not take photos during our big moments. We hired professional photographers. We hope you will join us being present and in-the-moment! We promise we will send you a link to all of our wedding photos.
Are you sure I can't take photos?
Aunt Kelly. We all remember when you didn't put your phone on silent and were taking pictures with the shutter-sound on as Jackie walked down the aisle.
Our ushers have you on their most-wanted list!
