Bobby and Mackenzie met back in 2010 when they both began their high school journey at Cardinal O'Hara High School. As Freshman they met through mutual friends and started hanging out in the same group of friends every weekend. It wasn't until Junior Year when their feelings for one another started to change...

As Mackenzie was growing up and dealing with heartbreak and drama as every teenage girl does in her life, her mom told her, “Find someone who wants to hear you talk about horses and cares about your passion.” When Mackenzie realized that Bobby was someone who did that, she decided to listen to her mother for a change and take matters into her own hands and start pursuing Bobby.

On New Years Eve of 2013, Mackenzie prepared for what she thought was going to be a romantic first kiss with Bobby, only to be shocked when Bobby leaned in to kiss her and then faked her out! Using her anger to fuel her courage, Mackenzie walked right up to Bobby and told him she would have actually kissed him. Shock, regret, and happiness all flashed across Bobby's face in that instant.

Bobby hadn’t realized that Mackenzie was actually interested in him at the time, which is why he did not actually go in for the kiss at midnight. Even though it didn't happen exactly at midnight, Mackenzie and Bobby did share their first kiss that night and from there the rest is history!

Mackenzie and Bobby finished out high school together and then went off to college. Bobby attended Temple University and Mackenzie went to West Chester University. While it may have been tough at times, they defied the odds and made their relationship work from a distance. If anything, it made their relationship stronger! Mackenzie and Bobby alternated going to visit each other on the weekends and they both quickly became friends with each others friends on campus. Rather than worrying about just have their own college experiences, they got to be a part of each other's! Mackenzie continued to pursue her equestrian passions throughout college and Bobby found his calling of helping others by becoming a nurse.

When the time was right, Bobby and Mackenzie decided to take the next step and move in together. They have lived in an apartment in the West Chester Borough going on two years now! They love walking into town and having friends over. Bobby and Mackenzie also love going on hikes, exploring new places, going to new breweries/wineries, and being able to enjoy a lazy sunday!

On October 10th, 2020, Bobby woke up early and "left for work" while Mackenzie went riding on a gorgeous fall day! After her ride her family asked if she wanted to meet at a local park for a "socially distanced" hangout. Mackenzie met her family at Rose Tree Park and they decided to take a walk along the trail. As they rounded the corner Bobby was waiting there with the ring in his hand. They hugged each other at first, both shaking knowing what was about to happen, and then Bobby got down on one knee on "horse shoe trail" surrounded by both of their families, and asked Mackenzie to spend the rest of her life with him. Although Mackenzie was crying, she managed to shake her head yes and the celebrations began!

RennieorKnot here comes the wedding! Mackenzie and Bobby are getting married on 9/3/2021 at Radnor Hunt in Malvern, Pa. Mackenzie and Bobby chose this location because they loved the elegance of this venue, while also providing the most gorgeous views of the Chester County countryside. It was also a huge bonus for Mackenzie that this facility also has a barn (a horse or two may be making an appearance so stay tuned!).
