Our story began in the fall of 2018. Mackenzie lived in Cincinnati, OH and Kevin lived in Columbus, OH, and the odds of the two crossing paths were slim. Mackenzie worked in Cincinnati at the time with Maid of Honor, Jackie Nguyen, who was close friends with Kevin from high school at Dublin Coffman. Thanks to a little matchmaking magic from Jackie, she insisted that Kevin and Mackenzie meet, for months on months. As it turns out, she knew what she was doing! So where and how did they meet from there?.... Over an OSU football game, of course!

Kevin, Mackenzie and a group of friends (many of which you will recognize in the wedding party!) all got together one Saturday for some college football; The two officially met over an Ohio State game day in Columbus on September 29th, 2018, cheering on the Buckeyes at Big Bar and Midway (classic). That day kicked off with not just a win for the Buckeyes, but with the start of something even better. They began visiting one another almost every other weekend between Cincinnati and Columbus for the next 2.5 years. Then in 2021, Mackenzie moved to Columbus, and they began the next chapter of their relationship, living in the same city over the next 3 years. Fast forward six years in total and countless memories, here they are—The two got engaged on April 13th, 2024 in Goodale Park while heading to their favorite brunch spot (Forno!), and are so excited for this next chapter of their lives together.
