Lucas and Mackenzie met during the 2020 United States Ametuer Championship, hosted at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Being fresh out of college, Lucas had recently relocated to Oregon's southwest coast for an internship at one of America's finest golf resorts. Mackenzie, an Oregon native living in California at the time, was hired as a shuttle driver for the players & their families during the event. They met in passing and after a couple of tries, Lucas got Mackenzie to go to dinner with him. There was instant chemistry between the two, leading to a month or so of dating before Mackenzie officially became Lucas' girlfriend. The rest, as they say, is history. There have been trips around the country (Michigan, Texas, Kentucky, Colorado, California, Florida, Tennessee), to the hospital, to golf courses, and many, many trips for emotional support Blizzards from Dairy Queen. Sharing time together on the road, critiquing movies, shooting archery, putting paint to canvas, AND lots of kisses have brought us to one conclusion: God put us on this earth to find each other.
