Flying In? The closest airport to Athens is John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). From there, it's about a 1.5-hour drive to town, so we recommend renting a car for the weekend. If you need any help with travel plans or coordinating transportation, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help however we can!

The Lodge at Hocking College is just a short 15-minute drive from our venue, and its a great spot—especially for families. We recommend staying here and carpooling together if you can; it’ll make things easier and more fun for everyone! Weve reserved a block of rooms under Macy Neighbor &amp; Cody Mays’ Wedding for the weekend of September 12–14. The cost for the full weekend stay ranges from $290 to $380 plus tax, depending on the room type. To book under our block, please call The Lodge directly at (740) 753-3531 and mention our names. The Lodge at Hocking College

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is just a quick 5-minute drive from our venue, making it super convenient! We’ll have a bus running between the hotel and the venue so you don’t have to worry about driving or parking—just hop on and enjoy the night. Fairfield Inn & Suites Athens

We recommend booking your accommodations as soon as you’re able. While Ohio University is playing an away game in Columbus that weekend, it’s still a popular time for alumni to return to Athens — the town tends to get busy, and hotels and Airbnbs can fill up quickly. There are a number of great places to stay both in town and nearby, including charming Airbnbs, local inns, and hotel chains. If you’re planning to stay for the whole weekend, booking early will give you the best options and help ensure a smooth, relaxing stay. We’re so excited to have you in Athens to celebrate with us!

Our favorite thing to do on Saturday's in town is going to the farmers market! Enjoy some some food and goods from the area with some of our favorite vendors. The market runs from 9 AM - Noon rain or shine.

Athens Farmers Market

If you’re looking for the best place to eat in town, Jackio’s is a must-visit! It’s a local favorite, and some of Jeff’s (Cody’s dad) go-to beers are from here. While we’re not huge beer drinkers ourselves, it’s safe to say this is the spot for craft beer lovers in Athens and beyond — it’s a hit all over Ohio. If you’re in town in September, you’ll also get a chance to try something really special: the Pawpaw beer! Made from the Pawpaw fruit, which is native to the Appalachian region, it has a unique flavor that tastes like a blend of mango and banana. It’s only available locally, so it’s a true Appalachian experience you won’t want to miss!
