Our story began in 2021 when we met working side by side as cardiac nurses. We quickly went from strangers, to coworkers, to best friends. Fun fact: we didn't see each others full face for a few months after meeting, as masks were a hard requirement at the hospital during this time. Austin was working night shift and I (Maddie) was working day shift, so we only had short interactions with each other.

Fast-forward a year later and our friendship made it out of the friendzone. We are so thankful we were able to build the foundation of friendship before our relationship started because now we can both truly say we are marrying our best friends! For our first official date, Austin was insistent on showing this Ohio girl how to properly eat crab legs. For those who don't know, Austin grew up in Destin, FL (forever jealous).

We spent the next year and a half going on many dates together. We enjoy trying new food, cooking, traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends and family. We have also really enjoyed getting to explore charlotte and the rest of NC and surrounding areas together. We have taken many trips to the mountains and are always in awe of their beauty. We cant wait to share this special piece of Gods creation with you all.

We are blessed to take many trips to Destin, FL to visit Austin's family. This has quickly become my favorite place in the world so it was only fitting that on April 26, 2024 Austin proposed to me there. It was the happiest day of my life and we can't wait to celebrate with you all in May!
