Their story began around the year 2007-2008, when their brothers played on the same squirt hockey team. Since they were only 11-12 years old at the time, they of course never talked to each other (but knew of each other). Their paths crossed yet again about 3-4 years later since they were on the same bus route (still, didn't talk to each other). Their paths crossed once more as Tommy was becoming good friends with Ben (groomsman), an ex-boyfriend of Maddie's. With crisscrossing friend groups, they somewhat intermingled with each other but again, no talking. The talking finally started when Maddie sent Tommy a text that read, "This is Maddie, they told me to text you?" Texts turned into hanging out, which turned into becoming homecoming dates, which turned into Maddie begging Tommy to ask her out in the Rosemount DQ parking lot on September 30th, 2012. 11 years of memories later, and they're getting married!
