Our Wedding

Travis moved to St. Croix in 2009 when he was 19 years old, working with his brother, Ty, at the Boys and Girls club. They now own Bushtribe EcoAdventures together, guiding kayak tours in the bioluminescent bay and leading hikes to the tide pools. Travis is a skilled landscaper and Mario Kart player. 	Maddy has lived on St. Croix since January of 2021 after having post-COVID paralysis on what to do with her life. She worked for her aunt at The Frame Up, a local art and frame shop, until transitioning to St. Croix Montessori where she teaches Lower Elementary. She recently completed her AMI Montessori training and is working on her Masters in Montessori Education. 	On May 9th, 2021, Travis and Maddy met at a backyard BBQ spot on the North Shore of St. Croix called Sylvie's. After spotting each other from across the dance floor, they felt an instant connection and started spending every day together. 	Fast forward to the second day of the new year, 2025, where Travis proposed to Maddy at an idyllic lighthouse in Puerto Rico. 	They now live on the beautiful property of Discovery Grove with their herd of animals, Bucky and Baya (dogs), Bob (cat), Cinnabun and Marshmallow (rabbits), and Mocha (turtle). Maddy loves to cook for her guy, and Travis makes sure the laundry is always clean. They love to snorkel together, watch movies, eat yummy food, and travel to see friends and family.

Make sure to fly into STX--Henry E. Rohlsen Airport. You DO NOT need a passport to come to St. Croix (yay!)--only a REAL ID driver's license. If you're traveling with children, be sure to check out the travel requirements. The major airlines that fly here are American, Spirit, and Jet Blue. Depending on where you are flying from, expect flights to cost around $500-$700.

Getting to the Island

Having a car in St. Croix is the most effective way to get around the island. There are no ride sharing services, only taxis that can be quite costly. The most important thing to know is that on St. Croix, we drive on the LEFT! Unlike some of you that have driven in Europe, the cars are American so the steering wheel is on the side that you're used to. Car Rentals

We have reserved blocks of rooms at various local establishments. Because St. Croix relies heavily on tourism for their economy during this season of the year, please let us know your intent on attending the festivities by November 1st so they may release the hold on the rooms and can book the ones we are not using. If we have not spoken to you directly about housing, please reach out to Maddy or Travis about the best options.

We know the island experience is a high price tag--your presence to celebrate our love is the greatest gift we could ask for. We have decided not to do a traditional registry because getting things to St. Croix can be tricky, but if you wish to contribute, we would love to put donations towards our honeymoon (Europe Summer of 2026!!).
