Travis moved to St. Croix in 2009 when he was 19 years old, working with his brother, Ty, at the Boys and Girls club. They now own Bushtribe EcoAdventures together, guiding kayak tours in the bioluminescent bay and leading hikes to the tide pools. Travis is a skilled landscaper and Mario Kart player.

Maddy has lived on St. Croix since January of 2021 after having post-COVID paralysis on what to do with her life. She worked for her aunt at The Frame Up, a local art and frame shop, until transitioning to St. Croix Montessori where she teaches Lower Elementary. She recently completed her AMI Montessori training and is working on her Masters in Montessori Education.

On May 9th, 2021, Travis and Maddy met at a backyard BBQ spot on the North Shore of St. Croix called Sylvie's. After spotting each other from across the dance floor, they felt an instant connection and started spending every day together.

Fast forward to the second day of the new year, 2025, where Travis proposed to Maddy at an idyllic lighthouse in Puerto Rico.

They now live on the beautiful property of Discovery Grove with their herd of animals, Bucky and Baya (dogs), Bob (cat), Cinnabun and Marshmallow (rabbits), and Mocha (turtle). Maddy loves to cook for her guy, and Travis makes sure the laundry is always clean. They love to snorkel together, watch movies, eat yummy food, and travel to see friends and family.
