The average maximum temperature in Scotland during September is a pleasant 16°C/66°F with a minimum of 9°C/48°F, which means visitors can expect to be cool during the day, and chilly at night. Typically, September and October tend to be drier months, but this is Scotland we're talking about so I wouldn't forget to pack your umbrellas!

The wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors.

We have a limited number of rooms reserved at Gleneagles, they will go quickly, so please book them as soon as possible if you know you are attending! We advise you to call to make your reservation and let them know you are part of the Allan Morris Wedding.

The attire will be formal. We apologize if there is confusion on what "formal" entails. This dress code is slightly less formal than a black-tie wedding. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, the outfit choices remain the same: a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.

You are welcome to bring your children with you on your holiday, but you will have to make arrangements for somebody to look after them during the wedding festivities. If you are staying at Gleneagles, they use an external babysitting company called Little Royals. You can let them know if you would like to use this service at the time of booking and they will have them contact you to make arrangements directly. Gleneagles also has a space just for children called The Den that is an unsupervised activity space filled with different arts and crafts, board games, and a cinema room.
