Q & A
Welcome to Our Wedding FAQ!
We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! We know planning travel and getting ready for a wedding can raise lots of questions, so we’ve put together this page to help with the most common ones.
If you don’t see your question here or need more info, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help!
How should we stay in touch while we're in Trinidad?
The best way to communicate in Trinidad is through WhatsApp. It’s the go-to messaging app for pretty much everyone—friends, family, vendors, and even professionals! Whether you're confirming transport, asking for directions, or just connecting with fellow guests, WhatsApp is fast, reliable, and widely used.
We recommend downloading the app before you arrive if you haven’t already, and using it to stay in the loop with us and others during the wedding week.
What should I know about the ceremony and reception settings?
Ceremony:
The ceremony will be held in a large church that is air-conditioned. However, due to the size of the space and the timing of when the AC is typically turned on, it may still feel warm during the service.
Reception:
The reception will take place at my mother’s home and will be a garden-style evening celebration with dinner. There is no air conditioning at the house, and the event will flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.
We recommend keeping the climate and layout in mind as you prepare for the day. Expect a beautiful evening under the stars in a charming, tropical setting.
Where should I park for the wedding?
Ceremony:
The church has ample on-site parking, so guests may park directly at the ceremony location without any issues.
Reception:
The reception will be held at my mother’s home. All guests are kindly asked to park at the bottom of Chancellor Road in the Zoo car park.
We will have security on-site to ensure your vehicles remain safe throughout the event, and shuttle transport will be provided to take guests up to the house and back down at the end of the night.
Can I park near the house?
We respectfully ask that no guests park at the top of the driveway or on the road near the house.
At a previous family wedding, some guests parked there and, due to the lack of security in that area, a few vehicles had their batteries stolen, and it unfortunately drew unwanted attention to the home.
To ensure everyone’s safety and peace of mind, please use the designated Zoo car park, where security and shuttle services will be arranged for your convenience.
