You can just tap your card at the gate or use the ticket machine once there
Or pre-purchase on the Flytoget app or website
2. Vy – Regional Train
Slightly slower than Flytoget (approx. 23 minutes to Oslo S).
Tickets cost around 114 NOK for adults.
Purchase tickets:
On the Vy app or at airport machines
Also available through the Ruter app
Tickets are valid for 2.5 hours and can be used across regional transit within Oslo.
3. Taxi/Uber
Available outside the arrivals area.
Cost to central Oslo is typically between 1000-1500 NOK.
Scandic Vulkan, a modern hotel in a lively neighbourhood right by the river and close to great restaurants, cafes, and the city centre. Scandic is a well-known and reliable Norwegian hotel chain with many other locations around Oslo, so feel free to explore their other properties if you're looking for something in a different area or price point.
Thon Hotels is another trusted Norwegian chain with plenty of comfortable and convenient options throughout the city. Like Scandic, they offer a good balance of quality and value, and you're likely to find something that suits your style and budget.
If you're looking to treat yourself, The Grand Hotel is a historic and luxurious option right in the heart of Oslo. It’s a true Oslo landmark and perfect if you're in the mood for something extra special.
For a more local experience or if you’re traveling with family or in a group, Airbnb offers many apartments and homes. We recommend the following neighborhoods to stay:
Grünerløkka
Our wedding venues are located here — Grünerløkka is a vibrant, trendy area known for its cafes, boutiques, and green spaces. Staying here means you’ll be within walking distance of Paulus Church and Månefisken, with plenty of local flavor.
St. Hanshaugen
A quiet, residential neighborhood with beautiful parks and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s just a short tram ride from Grünerløkka and Oslo city center, making it a peaceful yet convenient place to stay.
City Center (Sentrum)
The heart of Oslo with easy access to public transport, shops, restaurants, and cultural sites. Staying here puts you close to Oslo Central Station, which is helpful for airport transfers and exploring the city.
