Some time in October of 2021, we met on an online dating app called Hinge. We both liked each other's profiles and began talking about our mutual love of music and StarDew Valley on the Nintendo Switch.

Shortly after our first official date, we travelled to Louisiana to introduce Daniel to the Taylors and attend a family friend's wedding in New Orleans.

After months of getting to know each other, and Daniel's family in Alabama, the couple took their first trip together to Gatlinburg to celebrate Allison's birthday.

Madelyne's friends from undergrad made the move to Alabama and got to meet Daniel in person for the first time. Daniel received the seale of approval from Madelyne's closest friends.

We travelled to Dalas to introduce Madelyne to the other half of the Ellis family for the first time.

Daniel braved a fishing trip with his future father-in-law, where he formally asked for permission to propose to Madelyne.

We moved into our first place together. Even our cats approved of each other!

On our 2 year anniversary, Daniel took Madelyne out for a fancy dinner, where after he proposed to Madelyne in their house.
