Waveny has always been a special place for the Burkes, and we’re so excited to continue that tradition into the next generation. Maddie’s parents were married here, marking the beginning of many family memories and traditions the Fourth of July fireworks, countless softball games (including Maddie’s first grand slam), Christmas festivals, family walks, and afternoons at “Annie’s Pond.”

Annie’s Pond holds a particularly special place in Maddie’s heart. It’s where she and her dad would pause during walks with the dogs to sit, watch the leaves change, and talk about life( including future plans with Connor). Now it is where Connor and Maddie go when they are home to say hi to her Dad and take a second together.

In his memory, the Burkes placed a bench there a quiet, peaceful spot that can be seen from the house and will be visible during our ceremony!

For us, Waveny isn’t just a beautiful venue, it’s a place filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. We can’t wait to share its magic with all of our family and friends as we begin our own chapter together.
