It was November 2021. Madison was in Key West, Florida conducting training with the Navy. One night she went out with a group of girls. They ended up at a small beach bar where she ran into Alexander. They talked and danced all night. Madison only had two weeks left in Key West before she had to return back to California. They hung out every day until she left. Once back in California Alex flew out to see her, three weeks before Christmas. Madison invited Alex out to go skiing with her family in Colorado. We spent the holidays together as well, where Alex was able to meet the family. It was truly love at first sight. Madison’s family fell in love with Alex and knew at that moment it was going to be something special. Fast forward to February 2022. Alex had to ship out for his job at the time. He was gone for six months out at sea. Madison and Alex talked almost every day. She could not wait for him to get home. Alex got home in November and we were so excited. On December 18th, 2022 Alex and I flew to Key West, FL to spend the holidays with his family. That evening Alex had planned for us to go to a nice dinner and stay in a resort for the night. Alex informed me that he wanted to walk to the rooftop of the resort. Alex’s mother and father got married on this rooftop back in the 80’s. Once we got to the top his family was waiting. We were watching the sunset and before I knew it Alex got down on one knee and asked Madison to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course she said yes!
