A long time ago in the heart of New Orleans, two teens were destined to be together. They had connections through family and friends which led them to cross paths from time to time. Matt's sisters attended Sacred Heart with Maddie. She remembered seeing him working backstage at one of the school plays. They exchanged a brief hello then went their separate ways.

A year or so later, they wound up on the same party bus after the Sacred Heart sweet sixteen party. Laughter and conversation flowed as they hung out, igniting a spark that neither understood at the time. But as high school passed, their lives drifted apart.

During their 2nd year at LSU, Maddie went to a concert at a music venue near campus. In the thick of the crowd, she saw Matt surveilling the crowd- he worked as a bouncer at the venue. With bright smiles, they reconnected and reminisced about old times. That night, their chemistry was undeniable, and they planned their first date shortly after.

Fast forward eight years, and they have built a life full of adventures together. They adopted a playful dog, Opie, and moved to Colorado. They love exploring everything that Colorado has to offer.

In 2023, Matt decided to ask Maddie to marry her while on a hike in Edwards, Colorado. Although they have been together for 8 years, she was still in disbelief. They couldn’t wait to take the next step in their journey.
