It all began in 2021 when we met on Zoom during Covid. Amongst the 100+ faces in front of us; we still managed to spot each other out. Josh at the time lived in Wisconsin, but despite that, we started to get to know each other through texting and Facetime. For a couple of months, it was constant talking and even though we stayed friends, Josh decided to come visit in July for a pool party I was having. After the week was up, we dropped him off at the airport. Seeing him walk away for some reason hit me and I knew something was wrong with me. We continued being very close friends, at the time Josh was considered my best friend. It took some time for us to figure our feelings out through the rest of the year, having distance and different lives got in the way of things. But then it all changed when he ended up moving to Florida and reached out to come see me again along with his mother. We hadn't seen each other in some time so knowing he was coming definitely made me nervous but excited. The moment he walked into my house, everything came back to me and I knew how heavily I felt for this boy. Throughout the next few months in the beginning of 2022, he came to visit more and more, until one day in April, he decided that we couldn't just be friends and that was the day I became Josh's girlfriend. He is my best friend, and I wouldn't change anything about us and I knew that I'd want to spend every day for the rest of my life with this boy.

2021 was considered a crazy year for the whole world. We all adapted weird hobbies and things to do as time passed. Friend groups had to find alternatives on things to do so we could still all spend time together. As a result, my friends and I ended up using Zoom a lot to stay in contact and do various activities with each other. One day, we all came up with a brilliant idea. This brilliant idea was to host an international Zoom Watchtower study for witness teens. This idea proved fruitful when the turn-out was 100+ witnesses from all over the world. Among all those faces, I managed to spot out Maddie.


From that day on, Maddie and I connected and we stayed close friends. As time progressed, our friendship developed into an actual relationship which I'm truly thankful for. While difficulties have arose throughout the span of our friendship and dating, we managed to work through all of our differences and problems. Here I am today thrilled that I can now chain myself with my best friend! I have the opportunity to love as well as cherish my Maddie Patty for a very long time!
