Our story started in 2018, when Maeton hired Jeb as an organizer for the Jared Polis for Colorado Governor campaign. We became great friends over those few short months, having bonded over the community of activists and friends we engaged in a competitive campaign cycle. The victory of our office as a whole and the desire to build positive change for our country led us both on adjacent paths throughout the next few election cycles.
The following year Jeb moved to the DC area and made strong ties to the Virginia community, developing as a campaign expert. Meanwhile, Maeton hopped around the country to train organizing teams on the Presidential campaign trail, moving from Texas to Iowa, then to North Carolina, and eventually back to Colorado.
The pandemic ultimately brought both of us to Colorado Springs, as we sought to wait it out with family and loved ones. During this time, we began to form (along with some of our best friends), what eventually became our company, Fireweed Analytics.
During this time, we realized our shared appreciation of music, nature, and travel, and our friendship blossomed from there.
In our time together, we've traveled from tiny towns in the middle of nowhere Colorado, to the heart of Koreatown in Los Angeles. We've made hibiscus tea from our front yard in Costa Rica, and shared a traditional Maryland crab feast with Maeton's family. In the last year, we've built a garden together and turned a rental in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs into a home that we love where we continue to grow in our relationship.
Politics and our desire to positively impact the world is essentially what brought us together, but our shared admiration for the beautiful things in life is why we're so happy together.
