Our Wedding

Every great love story starts somewhere, and ours began with a decision I never thought I'd make. One day, out of pure boredom, I did the one thing I swore I'd never do—I created a profile on a dating app called Stir. I made a deal with myself: I'd give it one month. If I didn't meet someone by then, I'd delete the app and happily return to my single life.Well, on the very day I was ready to hit "delete," I got one last match.By then, I'd already met my fair share of the weirdos and the crazies, so I figured if this one didn't work out, it was back to square one. But when I opened his profile, there he was—a handsome man from Baltimore with a great beard. As I flipped through his photos, each one told a story filled with laughter, adventure, and just the right amount of mischief. I was intrigued. We started texting and before long, we planned our first date. From his perspective, the first impression was unforgettable."I thought she was crazy," he says. When he arrived, I was hiding behind a car, calling out, "Are you the one in the purple shirt?" Once I was sure it was him, I stepped out from behind the car—short, chocolate, and laughing. His response?"Get over here, girl!"I walked straight into his arms and received the warmest, most genuine hug I'd ever had.He had a simple plan for the evening. We'd start with drinks. If that went well, we'd have dinner. If dinner was a success, maybe we'd catch a movie. After the very first sip, he looked at me and said he was going to buy the movie tickets. The rest of the evening flew by as we talked about everything and nothing at all. Conversation came naturally, laughter was effortless, and somehow we both felt completely comfortable being ourselves. From that night on, we talked every single day.We put plenty of miles on our cars traveling back and forth between Prince George's County and Baltimore. We joined a skeeball league, where our competitive sides came out and our friendship grew even stronger. We shared dreams, secrets, and plans for the future. We built a relationship filled with laughter, trust, and unwavering support. It didn't take long for us to realize what we had was different. We had found exactly what we'd both been praying for.In each other, we found peace. We found adventure. We found someone who made life brighter. Most importantly, we found a God-centered love that continues to strengthen us every day. What started as one last swipe became the beginning of our forever.
