The Group Events page describes a group travel itinerary with booking options for some of these.
Should you wish to book further above/beyond this, we recommend arranging this with the travel agents, JD and Francois, described under the Travel page.
Take a train / tram to different wine-farms, go dining, wine-tasting and explore!
Note this has different routes, some of which are via bus and not the cool tram train thing
It's the age of aquarium right? And Cape Town is one of the most bio-diverse marine life zones in the world. May as well go see all the fancy fishies, penguins, seals, sharks, glow in the dark undersea whatnots, etc.
Table Mountain can be ascended via a cable-car. The views are spectacular, there is a high-altitude park with quite different fauna and flora, it's a sight. The queues are long as it's a top destination for tourists - I recommend you go early or on a work week's day.
The V&A Waterfront is the top-notch, luxury shopping experience in Africa. You can find alot of unique items here.
Stellenbosch is a gorgeous Dutch-colonial town settled in a Mediterranean wine region. It has vibrant coffee shops, restaurants, night-life and is an excellent, safe destination to explore colour and curiosity on foot.
The wine country around Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl extending beyond the mountains has many exceptional wine estates. These all have tasting rooms and programs, most also have exquisite restaurants, delightful gardens and boutique shops.
There are hundreds of pristine, long white and sandy beaches around Stellenbosch and Cape Town.
If the wind is blowing, there are beaches that are sheltered from the wind. This is because Cape Town is mountainous and forms a peninsula - so along all the various winding circular roads and valleys there are many, many options.
Yup just some penguins hanging out on a beach. Feel like hanging out with them? Well, get down there and while you're at it, check out Simonstown and the Cape Point Park.
You could go on a whale watching tour. It's a whale of a time - as long as you don't get seasick. The whales are staggeringly beautiful
There are river rafting / kayaking options. They have multi day options that include bringing you food and water, though you'd have to haul your own camping equipment. It's one of the most beautiful things I feel like I've ever done and if you're able to go out and do this, I heartily recommend it.
There are various African markets around Cape Town and Stellenbosch. If you' like to attend the largest one, this is Greenmarket Square.
It's pretty stimulating, wonderful to see all these different creative expressions and cultural pieces from the African continent.
What's even more interesting is if you speak to people and ask the stories of the objects, how they travelled to be in Cape Town, who and how they were made, etc.
The Karoo is an arid interior area beyond the mountains. Transitioning through the mountains you quickly see a sharp change in biome. The Karoo is beautiful in the way that some of the landscapes of places like New Mexico is, and has a similar quiet, sunny, beautiful charm.
The R62 highway is the most highly recommended. Its quaint small towns have lots of great restaurants and places to explore, caves, hot springs, etc. It is a good place to find stillness within yourself, light a fire, camp out and see the stars.
The Karoo also becomes remote enough within several hours drive to be able to see more stars in the sky than you may have been able to see in decades, perhaps even a lifetime. It is an incredible experience, humbling and very worth while. Most people who see this are utterly shocked but just how many stars there are in the sky, and describe never having seen anything quite like it.
South Africa, Namibia and Botswana has a LOT of national parks and safari options. Some offer incredible, gorgeous and unforgettable experiences
The coastline of South Africa has alot of pristine golf courses and resorts.
Whatever your fishing style, there are tours and options around Cape Town aplenty.
Stellenbosch, Cape Town and the Western Cape in general has ALOT of really good restaurants and coffee shops with unique food menus and decor
