On a Friday night in October of 2019, we had our first date at Toxic Brew Company in the Oregon District. After bonding over childhood trips to the Outer Banks, Taylor Swift, and dreaming of quitting our jobs for the FBI, Richard lost one too many games of Uno, which definitely sealed the deal for a second date.

After a month of more board games (Maggie's win streak over) and date nights, Richard makes it official. He also meets the Dayton girls, who are quick to interrogate him on his intentions (he passed!)

The world shuts down and for the next several months, date nights consist of even more board games, Richard teaching Maggie DnD, making cocktails at home, and cooking together. We still made time for the Blue Jackets in there!

Richard comes to PA for the first time. We make the most of the weekend with a trip to Adventure Aquarium, Longwood Gardens, and Victory Brewing Company in my hometown!

We vacation together for the first time, taking a week long trip to the Poconos with Maggie's high school friends. With train rides, whitewater rafting, and board games as always, Richard fits right in.

We move into together - Bobby approves!

The rest of the next year is full of more board games of course, Christmas in PA, and Richard flying through law school.

We're front row for Taylor Swift, who unknowingly facilitated the swipe right that brought us here today. Hearing the soundtrack for our last few years live is beyond special.

With a proposal and surprise engagement party, it's official - we're getting married!

For the next year, we're in wedding planning mode. In the meantime, Richard graduates from law school and passes the bar, we get our engagement photos done and travel to Hawaii where Richard runs a half marathon with PJ and his Aunt Kathy, and we celebrate 5 years together. Now we start the countdown to forever!
