Our first of many "Thursday" zooms. When setting up this call, Chris told Maggie that he wanted to discuss his resume and talk through career options. After a 2-hour discussion covering many topics other than his resume, Maggie had a strong feeling Chris was hoping for more than career advice ;)

The day Maggie wrote scripture and quotes on the slab of her home before laying new flooring. Chris gave Maggie several excerpts from Scripture including all of Psalm 91. This is fondly known as "Chris's Corner".

After Maggie had a hard week renovating her new house, Chris surprised her with Chickfila cookies. This is when Nancy (Maggie's mom) knew he was a keeper!

A 30th birthday present from Chris to Maggie courtesy of the best roomie and one of Maggie's bridesmaids, Bri. Bri has run several "secret" errands for Chris to help surprise Maggie and will be "our" roomie after the wedding!

The best moving crew out there helped Chris pack up all of his things before Maggie and Chris made the 15-hour drive from Chicago to Charleston.

A walk on the beach in Charleston after lunch with Uncle Ron and Aunt Linda! Maggie's mom, Nancy, liked this picture so much that she had it printed on a canvas for us for Christmas.

After 2 weekends of hard work, Maggie and Chris cleared out a pile of junk left in Maggie's backyard. When weighed at the dump, we tipped the scale at 1400 lbs of debris! This was a chance for us to tag-team a project and learn to work together.

This is when Maggie saw the ring for the first time—yes, before the engagement! We are so honored that Chris' Grandma and Grandpa chose to gift this to us. We love this ring for many reasons: We love that the sapphire symbolizes faithfulness and royalty, that the ring was made where Chris was born in Kingsport, TN, and that it represents family and generosity because it is a gift from his grandparents.

Chris popped the question and Maggie said "YES"!

We celebrated our engagement with Maggie's family in Macon the day after Chris proposed. This photo was taken by Patrick, Maggie's Dad.

One week after getting engaged, Maggie said "YES" to the dress with the most supportive crew—Kelli, Susan, Nancy, Katie, and Anna! This was an appointment Maggie scheduled when Chris invited our families to Charleston to help celebrate the engagement.
