Places to Stay

We are not going to have a block of hotel rooms as there are so many hotels in Washington, DC.

Unless you are only coming to town for one night, we would recommend staying closer to the downtown/NW area of Washington, DC. While District Winery is in DC, it is not centrally located and is further away from the main attractions of the city and the other events taking place over the weekend.

Please be aware that DC has some neighborhoods that should be avoided because of high crime. Below are some neighborhoods that are safer and well located. There are several hotel options in each of these neighborhoods in ranging budgets:

-Dupont Circle or Kalorama (this is where we live)

-Farragut North or West

-Downtown/Lafayette Square

-Adams Morgan

-Mt Vernon Square

-Logan Circle

If you have questions about the area, or if you are looking at hotels outside of the above neighborhoods, please reach out to Maggie or Will with any questions.

AirBnBs and VRBOs can also offer great options, especially for large groups traveling together.

Below are a few recommendations of hotels that are well located:

Transportation in DC

Ubers/Taxis/Lyfts are all very easy to get in the city. We do not recommend that you rent a car as parking throughout the city often requires permits and is EXPENSIVE.

The metro is also a great way to navigate the city.

For Uber/Lyfts requests on the day of the party, please pre-schedule these to avoid long wait times and allow 45 minutes of travel time. City traffic can be bad!

District Winery is also located a 5 - 10 minute walk away from the Navy Yard metro station (Green Line). If traveling from Dupont Circle, please also allow 45 minutes of travel time should there be any train delays.

IMPORTANT: If you are attending the afterparty, the Metro will likely be closed by the time it ends. We highly recommend you pre-book your Uber to pick you up from Bluejacket at 1:35 AM to avoid long wait times.
