Groom:
When describing our story, I reflect on God’s work and what he has prepared us for. God is so amazing for delivering us from past situations that questioned the love we deserve. We were once souls that had to figure out the struggles, heart aches and hardships of life. Allowing our Lord to heal us, His grace and mercy made us whole. They say be careful what you pray for. My mother has always instilled in me to make sure to pray with intentions. When I prayed for what was missing in my life which was strength, love and family, God presented you in my life. Not knowing what to expect from our union, I asked God for a revelation seeking truth in my life. Through our peaks and valleys we gained strength together. With a vision of loving life, We built a strong partnership and family. Trusting in the Lord’s blessings, we were able to live with undeniable love for each other and our family. So when asked about our story, We allowed the universe to heal us for our past so we can be better for our future. Our spiritual connection defined the importance of what love looks like and means. The feeling of growth prepared us for the Devine essence of how we shall model love so it may be contagious to our kids, family, and the world around us. Our love story is our perfect formula. Through music, laughter, kindness and care we were able to create the happiness we both deserve. For that, I forever thank God for taking his time in creating the perfect person for me.

Bride:
It is a miracle on earth when 2 souls find one another. When your life is filled with chaos and a series of experiences that lead you to believe that love may not be in your cards, you surrender to being alone. You discover that loving yourself is what’s most important. This is when you realize your relationship with God has become so powerfully profound. With God’s work, the unexpected blessings appear as a pleasant surprise. One day as the stars were in perfect alignment, under a full moon, the love I never knew came to fruition. It was a magical evening at Oakland’s Lake Merritt. We met and something remarkable happened. Our immediate connection was electric. It was a refreshing feeling of relief. I thank God that my prayers were answered. We had both been on separate missions of redefining ourselves and the quest of self love. We prayed separately for someone to finally add to our wholesomeness. Someone that could love us as much or even more as we loved ourselves and the beauty of life. We prayed for someone that matched the 100% that we projected to the world around us. And Just like that, we appeared to each other with a keen sense of love, spirituality and compassion. So, If you ask me about our story, it is about healing, building spirituality and cherishing every moment. Now, we take this journey together to enjoy and relish in the joy of saving the best for the second half of our lives.
