We met on school trip to Germany in June 2013. Became friends on the trip. Pictured here was on a gondola ride on Mt. Pilatus in Lucerne, Switzerland.

After finding out Joshua wasn't going to his senior year Homecoming, Makenna asked if he would go with her and her friends because she didn't want to have him miss out (and because she thought he was really cute). A few days later on October 8th, they were official.

Our 1st color run and 5K. We did this run in Detroit with Makenna's sister, Breanna!

At our first Grand Rapids GRIFFINS game! We had so much fun, we went to the game the next night for Harry Potter night, too. The Griffins won against the Ice Hogs on the 18th 4-1 but lost on the 19th against the Senator Road Warriors 4-3 in a shootout.

The day our family grew to three! Griffinclaw is our first baby!

We fostered this little guy, Kielbasa, who was rescued at DCFC's stadium, Keyworth. Named after our favorite food we get from a vendor at the games. Kielbasa was later adopted by one of Makenna's coworkers. Kielbasa was unexpectedly and temporarily paralyzed due to poor health 2 days after Kielbasa was rescued. Josh and Makenna nursed Kielbasa back to health while changing Kielbasa's diapers, making him formula to gain weight quicker, and taking turns sleeping on the floor with him in the spare bedroom. He's healthy and running around now (and even survived outside during a tornado, lol).

Our first Flint Firebirds game! They lost 2-3 in a shootout against Peterborough Petes. This season, we ended up going to over a dozen games!

Our first home in Harper Woods! We are so happy to own a home!!!

Our first trip to Marquette together. We were up here for our friend's wedding and made a vacation out of it. This was of our most favorite vacations together! We actually seriously joked about getting eloped in the UP when we passed same day wedding billboard, lol!

9 years, 11 months, and 1 week later, Joshua asked Makenna to share forever with him during the DCFC halftime, surrounded by their friends cheering them on! We celebrated at our favorite bar, The Painted Lady, in Hamtramck afterwards.

For Makenna's 26th birthday, Josh took Makenna to see DCFC play in Louisville, KY; DCFC lost 4-0. But the best part was they got to go to the Louisville Slugger Museum and even got a custom bat that says, The Champneys.

Our first trip together to Chicago, IL. We got to see Quinn XCII play at Navy Pier!
