Levi and Makenzie, for those who don't know, met working together at The Barber Shop Marketing. Not having a lot of clients in common, Levi first approached Makenzie after she had an allergy attack at work and offered her some allergy medication, and fresh honey from his ranch to help with her cough.

An initial meeting turned into happy hour after work one day with co-workers at Lupe Tortilla, then Levi asked for Makenzie's number and began brining her chai teas and breakfast to work, every day. Their first date was at a restaurant called Bulla Gastrobar. This turned into closing down the restaurant, planning a second date to meet Aubrey, Levi's dog and ending with a bouquet of peonies and asking Makenzie to be his girlfriend, May 4th, 2023.

They decided to keep their dating relationship quiet around the office and didn't confirm they were together until Levi joined a new company September 2024. Since meeting, Levi and Makenzie have recently moved in together with Aubrey and Kiwi in tow after getting engaged December 8, 2024.

Their engagement began with Levi trying to do his best to trick Makenzie, and to anyone who knows her, is quite the job. But convincing her that they were doing an early dinner with Levi's boss and his wife on a Sunday afternoon, ending up proposing at the LOVE sign in Highland Park and dinner at Sister to celebrate. The rest is history and the best is yet to come.
