Our story began in October 2020, on a night filled with costumes, laughter, and a little bit of Halloween magic. Dan and his wonderful twin sister were hosting a party, and Kenzie was invited by a friend. The moment she walked down the stairs into Dan’s basement, our eyes met—and that was it. It felt like love at first sight, the kind of instant connection you only hear about in movies. Within just a few weeks, we realized we didn’t want to spend a single day apart. Kenzie had pretty much moved in before we even made it “official,” and from there, life together just felt right.Over the past four years, we’ve built a life full of adventure and laughter. We’ve gone camping under the stars, hiked beautiful trails, spent sunny days boating, and (depending on who you ask) enjoying the finer things in life… like Football Sundays.In 2023, Kenzie suggested we finally take our first trip outside the country. Dan saw the perfect opportunity. On February 2nd 2025, on a quiet beach, Dan asked Kenzie to marry him. She said “yes,” and we celebrated by sailing away to Mexico for the most unforgettable engagement-moon—snorkeling, riding ATVs, and exploring the hills and wineries of Ensenada.Now, as we get ready to say “I do,” we can’t help but feel grateful for that one Halloween night that started it all.
