If you're traveling from afar, we suggest you fly in to the Portland Airport (PDX). &nbsp;&nbsp;It's about a one hour and fifteen minute drive to McMinnville. &nbsp;Make sure to look out your window for a breathtaking view of Mt. Hood as you arrive at PDX!&nbsp;

The Comfort Inn & Suites is just outside of McMinnville -- the closest hotel to the venue. &nbsp;Be sure to venture in to town!&nbsp;

There is lots to do in and around McMinnville --&nbsp; Yamhill and Willamette&nbsp;Valley vineyards, Mt. Hood, Portland,&nbsp;and the Pacific Ocean are all within just&nbsp;an hour or two. &nbsp;We&nbsp;want&nbsp;our out-of-state&nbsp;friends and family&nbsp;to get a taste for&nbsp;why we love it here!&nbsp;

Dinner: You really can't go wrong with any of the restaurants on 3rd Street in&nbsp;downtown McMinnville. &nbsp;We treat ourselves to Thistle once a year (<a href="http://www.thistlerestaurant.com/">http://www.thistlerestaurant.c...</a>), for the opposite end of the spectrum, try the steak special at&nbsp;our favorite&nbsp;dive, the Blue Moon Lounge (<a href="https://www.bluemoonmac.com/">https://www.bluemoonmac.com</a>). &nbsp;




Leave town:

Head to the coast! &nbsp;We especially&nbsp;love Lincoln City and Depoe Bay, which is about an hour away, and&nbsp;you can't go wrong with a trip up or down the coast. &nbsp;If you go south, don't miss Rogue Brewery and the Aquarium in Newport. &nbsp;Head north toward Astoria and check out&nbsp;&nbsp;the shipwreck at Fort Steven's State Park, outside of Astoria. &nbsp;

Mount Hood is about 2 hours away and there's a huge amount of adventure to be had. &nbsp;We like to visit Timberline Lodge, where part of The Shining was filmed!&nbsp;
