﻿Welcome to our wedding website – we’re so glad you’re here! We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for our upcoming wedding in Lake Placid, NY. Here, you’ll find our schedule of events, travel information and some FAQs about the day. We’d love for you to take a look around and learn more about our wedding plans.&nbsp; Finally, we'd like to thank you for all of your love and support over the years. Our Wedding

PROLOGUE 

The story of M&amp;J requires a prologue because it begins long before the couple knew each other existed… As many of you know, Mallory was born and raised in the Adirondacks (ADKs), and Jim was born in NJ but grew up in OH. What’s truly unbelievable, yet true, is that Jim spent his childhood summers vacationing in the ADKs… a mere 14 miles from Mallory’s home. That’s right! The DeMuth family lived in OH but owned a cottage in NY, on Upper Saranac Lake, where they happily spent summer vacations between the years 1979-2000. M&amp;J did NOT know this when they first met! However, they did make the connection pretty early on in their relationship. Now Jim likes to visit the old cottage whenever Mal brings him home to the ADKs on holidays, and they love sharing their histories there.

Now, back to the future!

M&amp;J first met in the Fall of 2014. Mal had just moved from NY to OH to begin her career in nursing, and Jim had just left OH for a new job in MI. Thanks to mutual friends and family* (and the power of social media), Jim caught wind of the new girl in town and reached out to Mal… They went out, fell in love, and the rest is history! (see their photo timeline of memories and milestones below!) *special shoutout to Mal’s cousin Ali, and Jim’s sister Jackie, who’ve been besties since college… If it weren’t for their friendship, M&amp;J would’ve likely never met! So thank you both so much, the couple loves you endlessly!

TRAVEL INFO

To help you make the most out of your weekend, please find our travel tips below! If you live within driving distance to Lake Placid, we highly recommend doing so. However, if you are planning to fly into town for our wedding weekend, please see the region's nearest airports listed below.

Pros: closest airport to wedding venue and accommodations ( approx 10 - 20 min drive). Cons: flies to and from Boston or New York City only. Travelers would need to fly into one of those cities first, then take a separate Cape Air flight up to Adirondack Regional Airport.

Adirondack Regional Airport

✈️ 

Pros: the second closest airport to our wedding site (approx 1 hour drive). Cons: direct flights to and from PA (Philadelphia) and FL (Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, etc) only. Anyone flying into the Plattsburgh airport would have to first fly into one of the cities listed on their site.

Plattsburgh International Airport

Pros: direct flights to and from many major US cities; on-site car rental service; super easy airport navigation. Cons: ~ 2 hour drive from airport to wedding venue and accommodations; drive includes ferry ride across Lake Champlain ($10-15 paid at the gate to cross, super easy, GPS takes you right to it).
