Last year we experienced bluebird skies and 75-80 degree weather in July. Oregon is the land of layers even in the summer and we will be at a slightly higher elevation in a wooded setting.

Flying into PDX (Portland) you will be about an hour to 1.5 hours' drive from Sandy, OR SEATAC (Seattle/Tacoma) is approx. 3 hours and 20 mins from Sandy, OR and would make for a lovely drive & road trip.

There are a number of outdoor adventures you can get into such as very accessible hiking, kayak and paddleboard rentals (life jackets included), visiting the numerous picturesque lakes in the area. There is also a fishery and rainbow trout hatchery in the area! -Drive Mount Hood Scenic Loop -Mt Hood Culture Center and Museum -Barlow Road and Laurel Hill Chute (part of Oregon Trail, can also hike part of it) in Rhododendron We also absolutely recommend: -Visit Trillium Lake (it's our favorite lake!) -A visit up to Timberline Lodge (exterior shots of Overlook Hotel from the Shining) which is located ON Mount Hood -Mount Hood Adventure Park @ Skibowl Restaurants: Mount Hood Brewing Company located in Government Camp **The city of Portland is only an hour drive away from the venue. Portland is full of delicious food such as Voodoo Donuts, heaps of food carts and cart complexes
