We love the water and had originally planned to take a dip in the water after the ceremony. We then realized it was going to bring some logistic complications! We decided then to skip the water and enjoy our time on the boat instead!

The ceremony will be on a boat, so wear something that makes you comfortable! As a reminder - we will not be getting in the water anymore. Please avoid coming in boardshorts or a bathing suit. Yes! We want to spend time together! We have created a "Things to Do" website section, where we will suggest activities we hope to do together if you arrive in San Diego a few days before, or can stay a few days after.

We cherish family and the joy that children bring, but we kindly request that during the ceremony on the boat be adults-only. The boat has strict capacity limits, and regulations require us to count every person onboard (even vendors), regardless of age. This restriction impacts the number of guests we can invite. As the wedding is on a boat, safety is also a concern. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding. If this poses a big restriction on your family, contact us and we can check the boat list. Please note that this restriction applies only to boat event; children are more than welcome in all other activities. Note that we are expecting to visit a bar after the ceremony - 21+ only.

Temperatures in San Diego in September are usually warm and inviting. Daytime temperatures average 77F (25C). Nighttime temperatures average 66F (18C).

We recommend people to bring a jacket in case it gets a little colder when the sun goes down. Also bring sunglasses or hat for the sun. We will have face and body sunscreen available on the boat.

We've been advised that sea sickness is rare. The boat stays within a protected bay and typically experiences minimal movement. If you're concerned about motion sickness, we suggest taking Dramamine before going to bed the night before and perhaps the morning of, and ginger pills before getting on the boat. We will have some "just-in-case" motion sickness options available on the boat. Ginger Chews, Bonine (less-drowsy version on Dramamine), Ginger pills, ear plugs (inserting a single ear plug is a trick to reduction motion sickness), and isopropyl alcohol prep pads (smelling these is proven to reduce nausea).

The boat requires us to submit a guest list in advance, and all attendees must complete a waiver form. Therefore, we kindly ask that you please confirm your attendance asap to allow us ample time for organization.
