Flight

Fly into Jorge Chávez international airport in Lima, Peru.

Lima is the capital of Peru, and home to about 1/3 of the country's population. The airport is located in the district of Callao, about 45 minutes from the more central district of San Isidro where we recommend you stay.

Taxi to/from the airport

To get from the airport to your accommodation in Lima you can either arrange pickup directly with your hotel, or use Taxi 365 or Taxi Green.

For the latter, after retrieving your luggage at the airport and passing through customs, you will enter an area with airport certified taxi and transportation stands. There you will find the stands for Taxi 365 and Taxi Green.

The taxi stands accept credit cards and the cost of a ride is between 60 and 70 soles (about $20 USD depending on the exchange rate). If you prefer to use cash, make sure to take some out or exchange it while you are in the luggage retrieval area.

Once you pay, the workers will escort you to a driver, who will accompany you to the car. You can tell the driver your destination directly. We recommend you keep a printout of your hotel or accommodation address just in case!
